Blaze it sir!
Dodge is going to help you out too, so I'd be surprised if I inflict more than 3 casualties.

Actual total = zero :D Dark Elves were rarely standing next to ogres due to AG4/dodge and even when they were I had craptacular block dice...
Expected DD/DS rolls 20.6-15.8 to ogres. Actual 15-18 to the Dark Elves, an 8-block swing :p In other dice highlights, Dark Elf injury rolls against me = 0 stuns 6 KO's and 3 injuries.
Oges cannot beat superior opponents with inferior dice. At least it was fun in the end, no ogres got worse than Badly Hurt, and SGF continues his scoring streak. Nuffle seems to be repeating the same luck against me most games (abysmal start, above average end), but hey I will take it over terrible luck for a whole game :)
Erm anyway, notj should probably be the one writing the match report so I'll shurrup now.

Ogres spend half the game alternating between confusion at the rise of Donald Trump, and hitting themselves to try and prove they aren't dreaming.
Dark elves take advantage and build enough of a lead to eventually win 3-1.

http://gandalfgames.net/bbdb/matchdetai ... tch_id=135

Dark Elves take Morg and some babes. They also have a merc lineman as they are down a blitzer from last week.

Elves elect to receive. High kick means they catch the ball, They run players into the Ogre half, Ko ing a couple of Snotlings. Ogres try to defend, but a spate of 4 consecutive boneheads leave players free in their half, so the Elves merely do what elves do, pass and score around turn 3

1-0 to the Elves.

The Ogres receive, and pick up the ball, but Morg and a number of elves swarm up the field to pressure the ball. The ogres decide this is a good moment to start hitting themselves rather than opposition players (I think it's here that Gandalf gets a double skulls and re-rolls it to a Double skulls. Extraordinarily bad luck). This leaves the ball carrier exposed, the ball carrier is tackled and it scatters to a Dark Elf. Gandalf has a second consecutive turn of awful Block dice, and turns over again, leaving the elves free to score their second TD>

2-0 at half time.

The Ogres receive and decide to try some Elf Balling, which lets them move the ball down-field pretty quickly, leading to (eventually) a 2nd TD around turn 11. unfortunately they only manage to KO a few players, so the Elves have full numbers to receive with.

2-1 as the Ogres pull one back!

The Elves receive and do a fairly efficient two turn Touchdown (I think - may have been 3), involving a bit of passing - to put the game beyond doubt.

3-1

Theres still time for the Ogres to manufacture another scoring chance, with the AG4 Ogre dodging around to try and pass to a free snotling! But he fails the catch, and the game ends 3-1

Tough Luck Gandalf the Dice really screwed you in the first half, the second half was much more even, but by then the damage was done.

Yup! Just like when a played Rav's elves. Ah well! It was still fun. You had some iffy dodge rolls yourself, but they didn't have too much of an impact. I thought it comedy that the one guy who suffered an injury on your team was your journeyman, and that was after you forgot to put him on the front line. Clearly that was his punishment for not being where you wanted him to be. You're better off without such cowards on your team!

You missed out the slightly-less-obvious double-bonehead when I was 1-0 down, the ball carrier was going to try & pass it to the the AG4 ogre but rolled a double 1 leaving the ball in a tricky location (from my POV). Ah the trials of managing a bunch of dunderheads. Here's hoping for a less-than-diabolical first half of dice for my next match (Fables!).

Oooh and we think we discovered a bug, a brave (stupid?) snotling tried a 3D against block on the ball carrier who had dump-off, and notj said that the client forced him to dump it off, even though he obviously didn't want to try that (because a) I think the targets were all marked and b) it's only a freaking snotling).

I'm with Id3, that was an excellent write up Abom. If I'd known I'd have thrown my game to get another one :)

PirlOrc has never had a problem with Dump Off.

And long may the Pudge & Percy love affair continue.

This made me chuckle.

Was very odd. I'm sure it gave me a choice whether to Dump off before when someone tried a tackle before. This time it didn't and took me immediately to the passing mode.

In comedy style had no effect though though. I tried a Dump off pass to morg, but the Snotling doing the tackle actually intercepted the pass! He then did his 3 Dice against Blitz which was a turn over defender down (KOing the poor snotling) and the ball scattered back to the Runner who initially had the ball!

Actually, they are all squares and compasses anyway, aren't they?

What? The Masons are?

I'm not sure that's what I'd call them.

I'm calling you a Mason from now on though.

They use squares and compasses in their symbology.

Careful there Rav, you don't want to implicate yourself as well.

And how do you know so much about secret masonic symbolism if you're not a member? Ha!
