and I played the precursor on tabletop
But I really, really, REALLY suck ass at Bloodbowl Legendary Edition on the computer.
I mean SUPER suckitude.
Warhammer epic (the super tiny miniature game in the 40k universe)?
My Tyrannids scraped the table almost clean of color-appropriate paint.
Classic warhammer?
My Brettonian Grail Knights made every lizardman, skaven, or chaos weirdo rue the day they spawned.
My GorkaMorka goblin trucks full of rebel grots?
They made Jack Sparrow's crew look like it was invented by me.
Fucked if I can play bloodbowl, though.
Help?
I tried. I tried so hard

Perhaps arrange a training game or two with someone here who can talk you through things as you play?
From explaining the basics of what to do to explaining the tactical reasons why you do something in particular, this could probably help.

Re: I tried. I tried so hard
Blood bowl has an extremely steep learning curve - there's loads of things to be aware of the the computer version of the game doesn't even hint at unless you know what to look for. Then, once you get these there's tactics to consider, then there's the AI that won't play anything like a human opponent does...
HOWEVER
There's us lot about who'll be more than happy to show you the ropes, and after a few games with pointers like La said, you'll start to pick it up. Then most likely you'll get fever, then your Sunday night's will never be the same again.
Happy to help you out if you fancy a tutorial of sorts.

Once upon a time we started to discuss a beginner's guide. There's a few good links in the thread at least.

The first couple of episodes of Percy's Trollcast are very newbie friendly

It's a theme here

It's not as good as an Allegiance squad game, but it's still pretty good fun!

No change? We're starting on Sunday hopefully and some of us have made firm decisions on our teams already!
We'd probably even let you be elves without mentioning anything about them being elves!
Re: I tried. I tried so hard
Has anyone spoken to Bard about trying to get him onboard since he posted this?
Re: I tried. I tried so hard
Yes, I have. He seems interested, a few tutorial/friendlies might help.
