Uploaded match report from Ogres v Fables http://gandalfgames.net/bbdb/matchdetai ... tch_id=141

Team Shrek setting new standards in rubbish casualty and block dice!
Expected 29.4 DS/DD, Actual 20!
Expected 16 DD, actual 8!
Expected 1.6 double red skulls, actually rolled 6!
Fables roll 9 injury dice resulting in 1 stunned 2 KO and 6 casualties!
In 2 games my opponents have rolled a grand total of 1 2D6 resulting in a total less than a 7 (7 is enough to KO a snotling)
Fables break more armour in 28 blocks than Team Shrek (with MB everywhere) do in twice that number of blocks!

Blood Bowl stopped being fun on around turn 4 yesterday. RIP

I just spent 40 minutes writing up this game and the forum lost it :I

Every lengthy forum post I ever do now, I select all & hit copy before I hit submit.

It was a good game. Has there been a higher scoring match yet this season?

No, 5-0 is the next best. It is in fact the highest scoring game in BBDB. I think the Wanderers got a 7-1 back in the day though.

I'll do the recap in bits through the day.

Drive 1.

The Bowies opt to receive in order to avoid any turn 16 Goblin throwing nonsense. As RL has Bomber Dribblesnot and I'm Elves I decided to try to score fast.

The kick went off the pitch so I have the ball to The Outsider, he passed it to the Thin White Duke whilst the team surged into Distribution territory. The Duke passed it to Nikola Tesla who dropped the catch.

A scrum ensued with players from both sides around the ball. The underworld couldn't get it free though and eventually on turn 4 or 5 The Outsider grabbed it and ran it home. 1-0

Drive 2.

The Bowies skew to the left and kick right hoping to get round and turn them over. The Distribution collect the ball and protect it behind a wall of goblins. On my left the Skaven charge forwards.

The Bowies are over eager and go too hard for the ball but don't get past the goblins. The Skaven thrower runs and passes it forwards. The Elves scrambled back and even managed to block down the ball carrier. But we couldn't secure the ball and the distribution picked up and dodged through to score. 1-1

There was another 5-2 Everglade wanderers versus My Norse at one point.

Indian Rav hadn't told us the final score, it would be more tense then :)

Who is Indian Rav and why have you started supporting West Ham?

Drive 3 was a failed one turn touchdown attempt by the Bowies and then it was half time.

The Game was talking it's toll on the Distribution and from this point in the goblins started to leave the pitch. I kicked to the right but I was ready for the push down my exposed left flank and covered it. The Man Who Fell To Earth leapt over the defensive line and blocked down the ball carrier. The underworld got it back and tried a desperate pass but ability 5 is made for intercepting and the Duke claimed his prize.

A pass to Nikola Tesla and the Bowies were back in front. 2-1. From this point on Nuffle decides to have some fun...

Bloody auto correct on my phone. It's hard work keeping up with all this when you're out in a field in Bognor Regis!

And I haven't started supporting West Ham (although Dimitri Payet is in touching distance of having an Orc named after him) - I have pledged my allegiance to a secret society; ID joined the Masons, NJ joined the Illuminati so I joined the only ones that would have me, the Stonecutters.

Keep up La.

The Bowies kicked again and were so up for it that they got going before even the legend in the making that is Mog'n'thog realised that the whistle had blown. Tesla caught the kick and ran it clear whilst the rest of the team hit goblins. 3-1.

I kicked again and this time perfect defence rolled up allowing me to avoid the troll and secure the ball easily. Once again Tesla ran it in making a hat trick. 4-1.

It was turn 16 so the Distribution set up to throw a Goblin. The crowd went so bezerk that the ref added time to the clock. The Skaven collected the ball and handed it off, the troll hefted the Goblin who span through the air, landed with a pirouette and buggered off into the endzone. 4-2 with two turns left to play.

The Elves received and collected the ball easily. This time nothing went wrong and Nikola Tesla was able to run in his fourth of the day as the whistle blew. Final score 5-2.

RL played well and in the first half he really had my number. But my deeper bench and his goblins leaving the pitch meant that I was able to dominate in the second half.

Highlight of the match was the underworld wizard fire balling 5 Elves and managing to knock over a single Goblin in the first drive.

That and a Blitz Followed by an immediate Perfect Defence seemed to have some say in it :P
