Rocket League

Rocket League is a whole lot of fun! Especially if you have friends to play and laugh with.

It's not stressful, but highly addictive. More than once I've found myself playing way too late to get "one more win" before I go to bed.

I think I peaked in my second ever game. We went 3-1 up, then 3-3, then scored in overtime to win 4-3. I scored all 4

I haven't quite got the hang of the ball reacts with the side of the pitch yet.

I bought the DeLorean DLC too, it amuses me greatly and I occasionally yell out back to the future phrases whilst playing

Playing with randoms is fun but would love to play with outers too, so just grab me on Steam.

Will do. Kind of hooked on the Rainbow Six: Seige open beta, but it's not going to last long and there are occasional server outages too.

@Daigaro & anyone else I play rocket league with.

I do rage a bit at particularly stupid stuff that goes on, eg some own goals, people hitting me or the ball when I'm 0.5s from a scoring hit. I feel better for it and I hold no long term grudges. If my behaviour is a problem for people let me know & I will try to moderate it. Thanks

Hoho, that's all part of the madness dude! on tuesday evening none of us had headsets on, without any communication in as frantic a game as Rocket League it's extremely difficult to have any tactical approach/awareness, other than 'who spawns closest to goal should defend for at least the first 5 seconds'.

If anything, the lack of headsets was probably for the best as neither me nor lifer had any indication of you raging; the in game chat is rather void of any emotion.

But I for one had a spiffing evening, never scored so many goals. Even if a few of them were OGs...

Idanmel has been playing this obsessively for the last couple of weeks. I've been playing it a fair bit. I think we've both ascended to the level of "average". There is a ranked system, but no idea yet how many people are in each tier.

id3 and Daigaro are occasional players.

If anyone wants to come join us please do! It's a lot of fun usually, and if it's not then there's another game starting before long (they are 5 minutes long each).

If anyone is interested to meet up and play there tends to be a session post blood-bowl every week, 10pm-11pm UK time featuring up to 4 of us (Diagaro, id3nt1ty, Idanmel & myself), as well as Idan & myself playing it at random points during the week.

Edit: although it's max 3 or 4 a side you can set up private games so if we somehow had 6 of us that wouldn't be a problem.

Basically we carry on playing until we lose two "Best-Of-Three" matches. So probably two matches, then.

I learnt something new today.

The game doesn't end at 0 seconds, it ends as soon as the ball touches the ground after the clock hits zero.

All this time I just thought it was lag issues... when in fact it's an awesome game mechanic.
