It was 3 - 1 to the Isotopes in what started as a very exciting and expansive game of Blood Bowl. After a vomit inducing two turn touchdown by Daigaro, the game slowed down a bit as I accidentally stalled out my drive to make it 1-1 at half time. In the second half Daigaro's block dice turned against him to demonstrate just how frustrating Frenzy on a team with no block can be, despite some good positioning and dominating the side lines.

Thanks for the game Daigaro!

Updated...

So next season is looking like this... ("new" means it's their first competition, not that they have played 0 matches)
La = Skaven
Gandalf = Nurgle
Daigaro = Khorne (new)
id = Underworld (new)
Abom = Goblins
Red Lion 3 = undead (new)
Raveen = Norse (new)
Idanmel = ?
Moose = ? not playing?
notjarvis = ? either not playing, or a new team ?

I'm not actually sure yet, at the moment.

I want to learn the Skaven better but I’m not sure if having massive TV superiority is the way to do this.

I have alternatives:

Nurgle: My first two level ups were Dirty Player rotters, but goodness me, Nurgle don’t lent themselves to Expansive Beautiful Blood Bowl.

Underworld: Phwoar! But on the other hand, I play a lot of underworld, so perhaps next season.

Humans: Hmm. Almost too mediocre to find a for and against.

Vampires: Massive TV superiority again, but what fun! Complicated to play, though.

If la changes to a new(or newish) team, I will probably change too (to Norse) as my 1650TV Nurgle team will be the only one above ~1150 as things stand...

Oh, exciting!

What are you thinking of playing Gandalf?

I think la should pick Humans.

Yeah, that’s partly my thinking. I’d like to get better at playing Skaven, but mostly I’d get better at playing vs Morg and a Wizard.

Sorry.

Edit: I think Daigaro has just persuaded me that there’s nothing wrong with picking Skaven.

Ergh two teams full of block to play against? Why doesn't someone bring dwarves too.

Only joshing, it's highly likely I'll lose to whoever I play.

But God it's going to be glorious and expansive and horny and frenzy -y.

Jesus Christ I was TRYING to convince you there's nothing wrong with playing halflings, or that glorious all snotling team you were going to try.

Oh, it sounded like you were saying, “yes, totally, you’ll enjoy Skaven, go with that”

edit: I am open to suggestion though.

My last 2 seasons have been Everglade Wanderers (way more TV than anyone else in that season or any season ever) and then Team Shrek (mostly 1800-1950 TV).... so yeah I know what it's like...

I though having a 1650TV team this season would mean my TV would be comparable to others but since everyone is going with new teams, it seems not (so it's everyone else I blame la, not you! Yah boo to all the other coaches!). Go On My Son is around 1150 and have played 5 games so are a good fit.

If I was suggesting a team for you to play this year (if not Skaven) then I would say Nurgle, so we could do our old plan of you go Nurgle this season and I go Nurgle next season. Plus next season there should be more higher-valued teams in the league for your Skaven (and my Nurgleites) to come up against.

La, have you considered Khemri? A very different experience to your usual teams without being overpowered in any way.

Or what about a High Elf passing team, I've really enjoyed living the ball about for once.

It would be a good time for anyone wanting to start a high elf team. I found in my one season with them that they weren't very good to start with due to their lack of skills (no-one has dodge, no high ST options). This season there are lots of squishy players, and nearly no high TV opponents, so it won't matter as much.

La, I thoroughly recommend the Halfling option (with no trees, of course).

Just think of the expansive free flowing matches you could have!!!!!!
