Ha! Did you cut a bloody swathe, or was it the vampires? :)

Bit of both... http://gandalfgames.net/bbdb/matchdetai ... atch_id=16

I inflicted 4 casualties, and your thralls overall suffered 2 deaths and 4 badly hurts. I even badly hurt a vampire!

This brings to mind a surprising statistic... The current RTBBL holder for most meters run belongs to... PirlOrc. Who has movement 4. So if he can do it, your Zombies can too!

That's because he cowers at the back until the rest of the team have done the hard work, then shuffles over the line to take all the glory.

My current favourite stat: guess which team formed of ancient Greek philosophers and top top cheeses has the most deaths in RTBBL history? Yeah! Fever!

(also most KOs suffered)

Incidentally I am free for a friendly tonight at about 20.15 I think if anyone wants a game (and has a team that won't kill all of mine :) ).

edit:
So... the Mighty Cheeseosophers took on the No Stable Isotopes in a pre-season "can we remember what to do" match, which revealed that no, maybe, yes?

The thralls certainly remembered what to do, three of the eejits leaving the pitch in the first 2 turns, leaving the Vampires down to 8 at the start of the second half. But they were 1-0 up, so there was that. We'd gone for a quick score, which went quite wrong, but then got rescued, and went quite right.

Then I think the second half start with 2 thralls being badly hurt off in the first 2 blocks, and then the bloody troll killed Pythagoras, although it turned out he was okay and just needs to rest for a match.

So with only about five players left for the cheeseophile pillars of Western Civilisation it looked like a reasonably good chance that id was going to equalise, smushing the remaining vampries and thralls into a paste as they did so. But some Vampires did some Vampirey stuff, and suddenly the ball was in the hands of a block dodge sidestep herosopher down the other end of the pitch, and then it was 2-0. Quite unexpected, and I would have felt sorry for id, if he hadn't been quite so expansive with his Mighty Blow for three quarters of the match.

Good report la!

Those Vampires are hard to put down! I think the only reasonable way I could have scored at the end there without tackle was for your Blood Lust to go bad. But it didn't, and those filthy Vampires can do anything they want. It didn't help that the only attacker down dice in the match came in my turn 15 blitz to free my ball carrier and score. It's almost a perfect example of critical dice rolls being more important than luck.

Sounds a lot like my memories of playing the vampires... I really need to get tackle on my team... same goes for the rest of the league!

I was ready to change my choice to humans after turn 2, when i had nearly run out of time twice due to not remembering what to do and already had 3 thralls KO'd off the pitch...

Then I think on the opening turn of id's second half drive he Badly Hurt two thralls and then killed a vampire in 3 blocks! Regen didn't work but thankfully the doctor did.

It was a fun and expansive game.

Anyway, with Amazons and Goblins about, yes, there is definitely a need for Tackle. id didn't really need it as he only rolled POWs anyway :)

Oooh, with the murderous tendencies of the Isotopes I could probably finish him off for good!

Er. What?

I might do a weekly thoughtful preview entitled What Aristotle Thinks, if that counts?
