(Percy Presents) The Entheogen Experiment 2 Punch Dummies 1

http://gandalfgames.net/bbdb/matchdetai ... tch_id=200

In a game of mass ineptitude characterised by more sendings off (5) than casualties (3, or 4 if you include the crowd throttling a gobbo).

The crowd loved it though, as did the coaches who spent the game in a jolly chuckle. Highlights for the Dummies was the wonderful TTM score at the end of the first half, closely followed by a thrown goblin bouncing off another goblin's head. The Enth's highlight had to be surfing a gobbo from the LoS into the crowd with much rejoicing.

Sad that we had to have the Wooden Spoon Derby so early in the season, but Abom took his chance well to defend his title.

Well played Abom, spiffing fun as usual.

Sounds fun. Congrats on being BBDB's 200th game.

Raveen - any idea if you will make it or not? I'm flexible on timing. If not then I'm up for a friendly on Sunday.

Big up to Percy's cousin Pudge for being the best passer this season.

He only throws goblins. Phwoar.

<Embarrassed mew.> My apologies to team Entheogen. I've forgotten that tomorrow I am going to be in Aylesbury, and probably won't be back in time for the game. Are there any days we could rearrange to? </Embarrassed mew.>

*Percy stroke his chin whilst chewing on a Livid Entoloma*

As luck would have Mr Feline, Percy has a pretty nice week next so is free most evenings. How's Monday? Monday Night Football is always fun.

Nurgle vs Norse. High strength with block and some other stuff, versus *slightly* lower strength with block and little else.

Norse took Zara, wizard, babe and something else (bribe??). Weather was fine. Nurgle opted to kick off. The Norse collected the ball after it landed in the far corner and brought it up. The Nurgle waded in and I got the Beast next to the big guy, and marked/repeatedly hit Percy the troll. Eventually I hit the ball carrier and ended his career (sorry). The ball went loose, I scooped it up and ran down the pitch. However there wasn't much support and he got hit... but then a Nurgle Warrior caught it! He wasn't able to get free though and eventually the Norse got the ball back, but there was no time left to score. In the last turn of the half I injured Zara, so the second half started off 11 vs 10.

I received, the ball landed basically on the front line (high kick but there was already someone under the ball, he didn't catch it). I completely ballsed up my staring formation which set me back a little. Nonetheless I recovered, and tried to pick the ball up and failed, but at least the beast of Nurgle was next to the ball. This was the cue for a fireball, which knocked over the Beast and killed one of my level 3 rotters (thankfully not the +AG guy). Then followed what Rav described as his worst turn of blood bowl for a long time, and I described as the first 90s of a la turn without the last 30s of a la turn. I won't go into details, but next turn I picked up the ball. Then began a big punch-up, without a clear winner, but then Rav spotted a 1d block on the ball carrier, which we were both surprised was even possible. However he stayed upright and I was able to get him free along with a couple of others. However my positioning wasn't very good and he got knocked back 3 squares in his next turn. The ball was loose but next to the sideline with 2 turns left and marked by 3 players. I did all I could reasonably do and hit a player into the ball. It dutifully went out, and came back in in a fairly useful place for me. I picked it up, Rav failed to get a hit on him, and I dodged/walked in to score on turn 16 (after trying a few 2D blocks w.block&rerolll.... tempting fate... maybe!). Nothing exciting happened on the last turn.

Post game and unbelievably, I rolled a double!!!!! And it was on the Beast of Nurgle! So now he has block to go with Stand Firm, so is even more annoying than before, if that's possible. The Norse hadn't earned any SPP's apart from MVP, but at least they got 60k of winnings. Unfortunately they had lost an expensive piece in their Runner. Dice were fairly equal overall. 114 block rolls between us, rawr.

I don't think either of us were at our best but that didn't stop it being a fun game, if you find block-fests fun. It was certainly a very close game. GG WP

The other inducement was an apothecary. On reflection if have been better off with Icepelt over Zara. Never mind.

Oh and my runner was MNG so he'll be back at some point.

Yeah, Zara didn't do much in the end. But then neither did Percy (but I suppose you expect that of him). Overall your inducements didn't perform too well.

Oh, I must've misread during the game. Glad your runner will be back :) And the other injury (-1MV on a lino) doesn't matter too much. I highly recommend getting a Berzerker soon. They are awesome. Take a look at mine on BBDB for example...

How's Wednesday sound, Idan?

edit: Btw, just my weekly reminder that I think the first post of any season should have links to the teams and to the current scores under RTBBL (if the pages are working properly!) C:-)
