Re: RT BBL Season 9
Christ almighty, a team managed by Percy is top of the league.
http://gandalfgames.net/bbdb/matchdetai ... tch_id=207
2-0 to the Enths, in a highly (in)competent game. Less sending's off this time round, and some lovely pass and move (without the passing) play by the Enths, KOing the undead rather fortuitously to make space for frenzy chain pushes to clear a route to the endzone to make it 1-0. Red Lion's Miow's obviously weren't getting through to his players, who summed up their first half by only half casualty-ing San Pedro Cactus (+ST demon) who got better again, failing two attempts at SPP farming passes and finishing the half with another red skull.
2nd half the crowd started by invading the pitch to give each team a bit of a kicking; they obviously wanted the depleted teams (9v9 I think) do some expansive blood bowl, which Red Lion obliged them with. Not only did he order a skeleton to dodge (!) but then he only went and wanged a long pass at him (!!) AND HE CAUGHT IT (!!!)
Then nuffle was nuffle and the skele failed the GFI he needed to score. To pour salt on the wound the crowd chucked the pig skin closer to the Khorne team who managed to work it downfield and score again in turn 16 to make it 2-0.
At some point some Horns and Frenzy managed to injure 3 out of the 4 ghouls too which made life for the Enth's much easier.
Red Lion summed up his game with the loner Wight (who got a casualty) getting MVP.
Cracking game though, TDs, injuries, crowd participation, (almost) expansive play and a fine opponent. Percy's gone for a lie down because he has a nosebleed from being this high in the table.

Re: RT BBL Season 9
It was a great game, very amusing!! Just as well all the inducements were spent on an extra player rather than a wiz or the numbers wd've been even smaller.
Gandalf, don't expect too much expansive passing on Sunday. The three injured ghouls... well, one is an ex-parrot and two are missing the next game. Which leaves, um, if my maths are correct, 1 ghoul. Which means you will need... running the numbers here... 1 player with tackle to mark him. Unless I get extra ghouls with the mammoth pile of inducements...

Ah bugger how could I forget the glorious sacrifice Carlton Sandbanks made throwing himself at the Colorado River Toad's horns, hoping the weight of his carcass would stop him scoring.
You'll be missed Carlton, Percy made (well, found) this is for you

I'm Nurgle... Nurgle matches have very little in the way of expansive passing as a rule. And hey, I have one player with tackle, so that works out nicely! Have fun working out what to do with your huge pile of inducement cash...

Spiffing.
Seen as Percy will be there playing AND managing his opposition we should probably ask him if he's got time for a Podding soon too.

Wednesday sounds great.
Re: RT BBL Season 9
Daigaro - unfortunately you are only top due to a bug as detailed in the BBDB forum. The true leader is still id3nt1ty. Sorry!
Excellent, with you vs Abom happening, we'll only be one game behind schedule then.

He's still got 6 points and a game in hand though. He's only not top because we don't take number of games into account in the league standings.

We're top of the league,
We're top of the LEA-GUE,
We're the Experiment,
We're top of the league
Ok, NOW the Enth's are top of the league. Like, properly enough that even Dalf will accept it.
In somewhat controversial manner too. DaigaroOgami KO'ed himself to join Percy in the dugout for the Podcasters, just as it seemed the Podcasters we're going to take a 2-1 lead, thus allowing Percy's Experiment Franchise to blitz the ball free and (rather jammily, if we're honest) work the ball to the opposite end of the pitch to not fail 4 GFIs and score in turn 16 to win 2-1.
http://gandalfgames.net/bbdb/matchdetai ... tch_id=209
Podcasters got a lot of inducements, spent on spare players, bribes (commendable) and babes. Oh, and a horrible wizard.
Enths receive, and start working up the wing, where too-much-thinking had to happen as both teams traded frenzy players off the pitch. Then the Enth's made a stupid choice on some blocking, and a whole world of pain started with the blasted wizard contributing to taking 4 Enths players off the pitch in one turn. The Pods got the ball and worked it for a 1-0 turnover lead at halftime.
So far Percy had been doing his bit for the Pods, but the wizard gave him the willies, and all of a sudden he realised he was involved in both team's interests and so... stood about a lot worrying about it and not doing much else until he went for a lie down because it was a bit warm.
2nd half the Pods started making a mess of the Enths, really starting to push the numbers advantage when they decided to entertain the crowd with some incompetence, fumbling the ball in the backfield. This allowed the Enths to nip in, grab the ball and bugger off and hide for a while before making it 1-1, with Percy thinking a draw was probably the fair result.
Then we had the controversy, and the Enth's carried on their highly unlikely winning streak. I made a few silly mistakes and felt rescuing a draw would've been a good result, but Rav didn't want to be left out on the incompetence so made a few of his own... Well done Rav
It was a fun game, albeit rather tense throughout! Cheers Rav

Good job Percy and the Experiment!
Rav, would you like to try and catch up our missing game at some point? I can do most days this week (today, Fri, Sat) or next week (Wed, Thur, Fri, Sat) at the moment if any of those would work for you. No worries if you've got too much on at the moment.
