Re: Feature Wish List
What you said was fine, I was genuinely just asking out of interest rather than asking you to do it

Re: Feature Wish List
Yes... I'm just tracking the single line in the log file that says "TURNOVER!", so far I have time limit exceeded and player knocked down... and separately there's HT, FT and touchdown scored. Being sent off or failing a pickup etc. doesn't fit into any of those so I'd imagine they would have their own traceable bits of text.

Gandalf wrote:Alright! Bank holiday coding fun! There's a new tab on the match report called "turn ends" which tells you turn endings that have been detected. To make them show up for older matches you need to reload the match report and press ctrl+F5 as per usual.
Limitations:
Doesn't log when a turn ends due to time. You have to assume that anything else was a case of time running out.
Logs a) time limit exceeded, b) knocked down, c) touchdown scored, d) half time/full time. If a turn ends in another way then let me know the match example and I can add it. I can think of ball handling issues, or a sending off, neither of which happened in my game yesterday.
Future plans:
There's a category called "Knocked down (temporary category)" - I want to break this down and give more information... was it a failed dodge? A failed block - if so give details of the block. The line in the log only says "knocked down" so more complex logic is required for these.
The future plans are now complete!
You can see what roll type ended your turn, what you rolled, and also if it was a reroll & what you rolled the first time.
For example, Bob - failed dodge - rolled 1 (3+) rerolled a 2 via skill re-roll
Failed block - Blitz - RS. Rerolled DS via Team re-roll used (presumably this was against someone with dodge, hence the DS was rerolled)
The data for this table is created when you click match report, as per all the other dice stats. So for older matches, you will need to view the match report again.
I think there are still a few bugs in here. One is on this match - > http://gandalfgames.net/bbdb/matchdetai ... tch_id=207 where it doesn't tell you who did the blitz. In this case it's an issue with the matchlog code (known to not be perfect) rather than the turn ending code. Another is this -> http://gandalfgames.net/bbdb/matchdetai ... tch_id=141 where apparently my turn ended with a bonehead... again this is matchlog code issue (which is known to be imperfect), the turn-end code is interpreting the data correctly. This game was definitely in my mind when writing this code - you can see all the horrible double/quadruple red skulls I got that game.
