Oh I forgot about that.
Common sense will prevail though, no draws allowed!
Well if Abom signs up for the cup we can always try seeding with 6 teams anyway.

The Punch Dummies go out with a whimper, due to a mix of bad coaching (players were surfed), bad weather, and a clearly bribed Ball and Chain *shakes fist*
The Norse advance, 2-0 score!

The Isotopes just about got away with wining their first game of the Something Something Cup. I made a bit of a pigs ear attacking in the first half. Red Lion defended well, despite losing a Mummy in a Blitz. I lingered with the ball in my own half, trying to cause as much damage as I could before bringing the ball forward but it didn't go as planned. Red Lion mobbed my cage and I had to run away again, and then had to roll more dice than I might have to score and it predictably went wrong.
Red Lion opened the second half with an ambitious cage on my left flank, the only thing it lacked was the ball carrier. Unfortunately, the block dice weren't playing nice with the Revenge and they accidentally opened a hole in their own defence which the Isotopes promptly swarmed through. Red Lion's ball carrier had no one who could help he get out of trouble, and he promptly ended up on his back. A rat scooped up the ball and scurried away to stall out the rest of the game in the end zone whilst the rest of the Isotopes did violence to any Undead attempting to put a stop to their touchdown.
Good game Red Lion, thanks for playing. I wasn't looking forward to dealing with that cage, so I think the game could have very much gone either way had it not been for that Skeleton/Zombie falling over at the start of the second half.

Gandalf, I wasn't sure about uploading the cup games to BBDB, so I didn't.
Nuts, I hadn't created the competition. This has been rectified now, so upload away.

Yes, thanks for the game id!
I will upload the game if id hasn't already.

Re: RT BBL Season 9
The other game was uploaded under the "friendly" category. FYI I should be able to move it over, but it's a bit more hassle for me so if you could not upload it if this scenario ever arises again, that would be preferable. But I won't shout at you *insert cuddly smiley here*
Re: RT BBL Season 9
I uploaded as a friendly, don't know if that was better or worse than not uploading, Gandalf.
I got 310k of inducements which I spent on an apothecary, a wizard and a babe.
Abom elected to receive the kick off and then the roll was for a blitz which pretty much sums up the game. I got some hits in and managed a stupid amount of dodging with my runner to get under the ball. He failed to catch it but the Goblins started on the back foot. The Fanatic was a total liability. He ate 3 rerolls in 3 turns and then caused a turnover by flailing over the ball knocking it sideways.
There was a big fight around the ball but a combination of Fanatic incompetence, frenzy surfing and general goblinity saw me able to break free. I stalled out until turn 7 as Abom had no bribes to keep his bombadier on the pitch after 1 turn. By the time I scored the two trolls were the only players Abom had on the pitch and they weren't doing much.
1-0 to the Podcasters.
Just before half time I kicked off again. The weather turned to rain making the 1TTD even harder and the ball landed too deep to give it a go. Abom opted for mayhem instead. The dice continued to toy with him though as the plan to fumble a bomb on the LOS was thwarted by rolling a 6 and lobbing it downfield where it stunned a lineman. The bombadier then got sent off at halftime proving just how useless he is.
The second half started with another weather roll which also came up rain (so for the record we've made 3 weather rolls which came up Sweltering heat, Rain, Rain). The ball landed deep so I wasn't initially threatened. My runner got the ball and I formed a half cage in the middle of my half.
Abom did what goblins do and ran a metric crap tonne of goblins into my half through my defensive line. My runner was surrounded by 5 Goblins and 2 norse linemen. The Linos pushed a couple of gobbos away and the runner was able to blitz free and move up the right flank behind a very loose side cage. Luck abandoned Abom once again and the first goblin to dodge away from the mass fell over. It was then simple to get up the pitch and score again. It was around this time that Percy excelled himself by killing a goblin (a really good goblin, sorry Abom although think of it as bloat management, the Percy way) and getting enough SPP to level up. So on the next turn a troll hit him and he died. Luckily the Apothecary hadn't been at the moonshine yet and was able to stuff all his organs back in and get the great oaf back on his feet.
2-0 to the Podcasters.
There were 4 turns left and I had wizard in hand so I was confident of turning them over. I kicked and the ball landed on my left. Abom protected it but wasn't able to pick it up. I used my wizard to bomb a cluster of goblins between me and the proto cage and didn't do more than stun anyone but I could run up and pressure the ball. More blocking meant that I got the ball free and my runner once again got the touchdown in my turn 16.
Abom had a chance of a one turner but failed the pickup in the rain leaving the final score
3-0 to the Podcasters.
This was probably the best game with the Norse that I've had. Block was useful and the speed of my runner made plays possible. I got four skill rolls at the end of the game. A lineman and Beserker got tackle for the Vampelf game, Percy managed to not get mighty blow because he got Block instead and Drew, my runner, got double 6s so took strength making him a MV 8, ST 4 Blodger.

Re: RT BBL Season 9
Last game I played, I passed 2 out of 19 KO rolls. I'm still demoralised by it so I already wasn't looking forward to the Norse Vampire match. Oh well.
Re: RT BBL Season 9
I have no Mighty blow though because Percy went and rolled a double. Probably I should have taken MB on the Berserker but I got a bit tackle fixated.
