I will be available - if Abom isn't, and no-one else is, I'll happily give you a non-dwarf game :-)

Well, I'll be around, I think RL3 vs Abom is the game that should happen if all parties are free, else RL3 - myself will do the 4th consecutive RTBBL game...

Sorry mates, but will be unavail; exhausted and mentally drained from going out this weekend.

Anywho, it's September. Hopefully we'll begin Season 10 soon!

No worries Abom! Sounds like you've had an exciting weekend.

Gandalf and I had a good game in your absence. Dwarves? Nay. Instead a new wood elf team played against WG's ogres. It turns out wood elves are amazing. The star player wardancer - ag5, leap, block... and for less than 250 TV. 3-1 WElves, with two level ups after 1 game. 1 game. Underworld, Undead and Dwarves just can't do that. Oh and all the players can run about a mile a turn. It was a lot of fun :-D

Star moment: WElves recover the ball, throw, intercepted by snotling! WElves recover ball again next turn, intercepted by AG2 ogre!!!!!!

Classic ogres, but with reliable blocking (!) One TD aided by 3 bonehead fails out of 4, another was on the last turn when I was pushing for the equalizer. But then I never should've scored my TD, which came on the back of those 2 consecutive interceptions... highly amusing.

It was a lot of fun, and it was nice to see the wood elves back in action, being woodelfy but getting injured a lot more than mine did. :p

These ogres are more elfy than wood elves!

I ended up seeing AlunaGeorge, british synthpop. Between Florence and Aluna, the Brits just keep invading my nightlife!

In fairness I was out-passed 3 to 1. Although my AG4 Ogre was sitting this one out after a near-death experience last time he played. And 1 is still a pretty high pass count for an ogre team!

I also liked... "Hey Red Lion I'm not sure you need 2 throwers to start with" ... *5 minutes later* ogre kills thrower.... later on after 2 interceptions "My ogres clearly knew which of your two throwers was the better one" :D

We found 2 bugs also! Impressive?!
1) My 2nd interception was logged as a catch roll rather than an interception. No real impact other than on the post-game stats analysis. It definitely was logged as an interception and I got the 2 SPP's.
2) Wardancer blitzes snotling who has diving catch, who sidesteps away and is still standing. Wardancer than dodges away from the snotling - and I wasn't given the option to use diving tackle?!

I'm not around this Sunday. Maybe Abom can play RL3, unless he's out partying again?

I'll be dead tired tomorrow. but I will be down for a game. Haven't played in ~1 month, would like to keep the interest brewing in BB!

edit: Stereotypically, the tiredness will be from going out. >_> Miami is changing me.

Okay, I've only just looked at the thread. Whoops!

Abom, would you still like a game? If so, same time as usual?

RL3 and I played a game! RL3's Amazons vs my Gobbos.

It was a pretty fun, relaxed game where we each made huge mistakes and it often felt like we were playing ourselves more than each other. For example, RL3 did an accidental dodge which let my out of position ball-handler (who could've easily been tackled!) get essentially a free goal.

1-0 at halftime, in gobbo's favor.

Gobbos tried to play a bashy game with their trolls but the girls were surprisingly tanky. RL3 does another odd-dodge pathfinding because Nuffle hates him and Gobbos almost get another chance to score again! However, their #s are thin and they can't cage properly. Eventually, on turn 15, the zons score.

Game ends as a 1-1 draw after a failed TTM.

Highlights: RL3's failed dodges and misclicks, RL3's refusal to use his rerolls (1 out of 7 were used), my honorable reminder of him to use rerolls (the 1 reroll used cost me the game!), and the bombardier delaying RL3's scoring by a whole 2-3 turns just by himself. Raveen would have been horrified by his effectiveness. The final turn ended with a goblin being thrown out of bounds (!!!) because either we found a bug or I just have no freaking idea how scatter works in this game.

Looking forward to giving my green menace Punch Dummies an extra reroll to cause mayhem with!

I've never said that the Bombardier is never effective, just that he's not effective enough, often enough to be worth it :)

Good write-up! Yes, there were blunders! The re-roll situation was an odd one. It just didn't feel that there was much opportunity to use them. But (as Abom's description of events has made clear) I wasn't exactly at my sharpest. Abom was indeed a most sporting opponent.

There were cartloads of injuries. We both got a -1AV (I did remember that dead was a bad thing and the Apothecary was a good thing - all on my own! without any prompting!); the Pogo chap was immense until he got crocked.

Highlights: The bombardier - though he eventually let himself down with an enormous-scatter backwards throw! The ball and chain danced gracefully through gaps and pushed gently more than he did damage, and then knocked himself off the field. And the TTM was a splendid way to finish. Basically goblins doing stuff.

Who, if anyone, is interested in a game tomorrow?

If only two people, it is definitely my turn to sit one out!

I think the Allegiance dev game is next Sunday... so I'm up for a game this Sunday.
