Re: Mornington Crescent
Nice to see the third axis in play so soon. I do prefer a more open game with a free-roam option where applicable (off-peak hours only, of course). Tempting as it is to try the Hyde Park Corner On a Moped maneuver, I don't think we're ready to bring that degree of improbability into the game at this juncture, so instead I'll take the juncture to the Junction and place one of my red tokens on Watford Junction. If I recall correctly, this brings the Tennant (Neil, not David. Let's not get into four dimensional play just yet) maneuver into play and validates the application of the West End Girls subclause.

Re: Mornington Crescent
Watford Junction allows me to Huff Nj so he'll require a 6 to move on next time.
Re: Mornington Crescent
I believe the time has come for the Chiltern Gambit and play Chalfont & Latimer under the rule book of 1997, Appendix c; Subsection 4, paragraph 2.
Providing of course the Hammersmith rule is not in play.

Re: Mornington Crescent
As this is my first game, do you mind me if I used the computer a bit? I hope not.
I ran the moves so far on my newly bought copy of Mornington Crescent, while assigning each one of you as AI. Wyld, NJ and Rav were given a score of 8 out of 10, as you are experienced and shrewd players. I wasn't sure how good Spinx is, so I gave him a 7 to be on the safe side.
The computer came up with a move that scored 6.7 out of 8 (You Brits have to complicate everything, why does the moves ranking system scales to an 8 is beyond my comprehension), but it meant that Rav and Wyld will have to team up in order to counter it effectively. That's when I used my better judgment (I hope) and chose North Acton, which ranks only a 6.3, but makes any teaming up a losing proposition.

Re: Mornington Crescent
After such a shrewd move, I feel I can only counter with Moorgate, with a Moorfields Eye hospital kicker and RNIB sponsored Old Street (Northern City Line)
Re: Mornington Crescent
As I've been huffed good and proper by Rav. I can only move on a 6.
Unfortunately On this turn I rolled a 453, so I'm unable to move.

I wouldn't lean too heavily on that software if I were you, Idan. Even IBM's experimental Deep Green Park is no match for a Grand Stationmaster, and commercial software such as yours is really only useful for learning the basic mechanics of the game.
Spinx, I'll see your Moorfields Eye hospital kicker and raise you Lancaster Gate.

Re: Mornington Crescent
Well sir, I must applaud you on such a cunning play of the Harry Beck strategem.
I do believe I have no choice but to bring Mill Hill East in to play at this point.

Re: Mornington Crescent
It's risky but I'm going to try a Pertwee manoeuvre by playing Tooting Bec. And yes, I am of course wearing an eyepatch.
Re: Mornington Crescent
Time for me to move things on again with Chalk Farm.
Re: Mornington Crescent
Since Rav huffed me and I couldn't move last turn, I'm in a bit of a tactical bind.
Chalk Farm and Tooting Bec make my options limited.
But happily, since this year is within 5 years of a royal jubilee year, I can take advantage of the Celebratory rule outlined in the Burke's Annex 2004 (revision 3).
Therefore I can move to a position where I've Landed Gently on Jubilee, which I don't need to remind you is wild, with hereditary properties that reverse huff Raveen into peasantry.
