Tried WarThunder but god the controls are awful compared to either RL flying or at least IL2-Sturmovik... unless I'm missing something? (really imprecise aim with mouse, and joystick does not feel that responsive..)

Joystick is quite hard. Mouse is easy mode. The crosshair slowly follows the big circle. Wait till crosshair alligns with enemy target circle at around 300m and enjoy the cheese.

Joystick flying in War thunder became lots more fun for me when i went for the more realistic controls.

I think the instructor mode makes flying actually more difficult.
