Game paused.

I always welcome new players but they'll have to be Wizards, I'm afraid. If XJammer wants to play he'll have to do what Solarflux did and fill the form. Solarflux, your character looks ok but I might have issue with the last part. I'm not sure yet. In any case I reserve the right to slightly change your story. I will tell you when you can participate in the game.

Sure! The last part was more of a way to connect with the story anyways. Awaiting further notice.

(The more the merrier! Hopefully Welcome R'rud and Jamma!)

I will be taking a walk around the castle as well, by myself. My ulterior motive is to look for weapons and/or spell scrolls (I almost feel like Link xD). I will be bolting/hiding at the first sign of potential trouble though, and the excuse I have prepared for the case in which I do have to excuse myself is "I'm fascinated by your culture, which is why we are here, and I was trying to learn more, though I prefer to do things rather than be told things".

(My fault indeed, I barged in trying to get that sweet sweet mahogany stand and completely forgot about the bureaucracy...)

The magician thief Agrippa halts his plans indefinitely (while hidden behind one of the pillars) and starts to fill in the bloody paperwork required to get the mahogany stand...

Name : Agrippa the Skulk

Background : The brightest memory of my life is the dismissal from the magical school without honors. The headmaster could not stand another prank involving  a summoned soul that was implanted into his shoe, and this time it embarrassed everyone when the shoe took off his leg flying across the dinner table and slamming flat into the face of major donor of the academy. Everyone knew who was behind it, and everyone knew what would happen, so the next day I was sealed in my room and all of my magical titles (and there were many! no, really to write them all out youll need more paper than a hand can hold!) were taken away... A few days later I was levitated outside of the academy walls and dumped into nearby trench filled with extrement... Without titles documents or even clean clothes my chances for finding work were quite slim. A few nights later I found myself in the slums of a nearby city, hardly able to breathe as my clothes continued to turn what now could be called a fertilizer into fine dust. I needed to make some money and I really wanted to eat, and kicking myself for skipping the boring food-casting lessons did not help much at all... (skipping a few months) ... after weeks of begging and sleeping near the dumpster I realized that I am desperate for an improvement... not one gives a spit about my magic here, and who would need a bloody summoner that cant even summon some food on the plate?! I think I would take advice of that guy who approached me a week ago... it was just a small job.. and Im sure those rich folks will not care if their scarf will just take off flying in the wind... (skipping a few years).. my gang was wiped, completely! damn them! they are the scum of our world, rape, murder, torture! why did they end up being stronger! now I just have to hide, lay low, leave this area... I wonder where this tunnel leads? ... (skipping exactly 478 days) ... Ooohhh my mahooogany staaand... I love you sooo much... Come kiss me on the cheek.... Ouch! Not that hard you dumb piece of wood! And stop humping me! Stand right there, I got to mark another day as I can see the sun in this hole again... *ticks on the wood with his stilleto* GET BACK HERE YOU FOOL I DID NOT MAKE THE TICK STRAIGHT ENOUGH!! Oh you fool! dont get yourself lost in this labyrinth! ... (skipping unknown amount of days) ... *quietly crying* Ohhh my mahogany stand, why did you have to get lost... poor soul! Where are you now... huh? I can smell a breath of fresh air... (skipping about 1-2 years) I, Agrippa, have decided to live a life of a stand! I enjoy robbing those mahogany people of their mahogany and I want to become stand and my life to be mahogany! Those stands will not know what mahogany them!...

School : MAHOGANY STAND THIEF (summoner)

Agrippa puts away his pencil and ponders why on earth did he need to write all of this while the mahogany stand was gradually walking away from him in the distance...

(Apologies for barging in on your story Drakon btw, I am happy to be completely wiped from the history of this thread if it doesnt fit you :) )

You do know we haven't got a mahogony stand at the minute don't you?

Uther has the ability to change into one (due to this viewtopic.php?p=1957#p1957), but has not deigned to share this awesome and powerful ability with you mere mortals yet:-)

Well yeah, of course, of course! The smell of mahogany is irresistible! (thats why I did mention about him cutting some of his hair at least if he cant get the mahogany stand :P) Maybe that will even make him turn into a mahogany stand, which I then could steal! >.>

Summoner = Necromancer (Agrippa's head is no good, he confuses words at times!)

R'rud the Denier

H: 110
M: 117
A:  3
AR: 0
S: 12

Spell Book (choose two, if you choose one, the spell automatically becomes a level 2 spell)

Oblivion: Banishes extra-dimensional beings such as demons, angels, and DRAGONS. 47M

Possession: Transforms into The Denier. All stats are doubled and all combatants may not use spells. 50M

Absorb: Dispels target spell and add it permanently into your spell book. 80M

Background: Realising perhaps too late that the party is ill equipped to deal with dragons, the Archwizard of the College of Wizards sends a Duellist to aid them. He is disguised rather well as one of the cult's dancing girls..

Agrippa the Skulk

H: 103
M: 101
A: 5
AR: 0
S: 40 (Being a criminal for most of your recent life has its benefits..)

Spell Book (choose two, if you choose one, the spell automatically becomes a level 2 spell)

Sense: You can cast a simple spell that detects any magical beings within a small radius. 8M
Unseen: An equally simple spell that renders you invisible to extra-dimensional beings only. 8M
Raise: You are able to raise dead bodies to do your bidding for a very short amount of time. 10M

Background: You have been led to the chase of THE MAHOGANY STAND which fills every waking moment of your life like a sick obsession. You now realize that you have fallen in love with the Mahogany Stand (Uther) and wish to do terrible things to it... that is how you sneaked inside the city on the mountain.

Do Dragons count as extra-dimensional? And does Uther count as such as well? (he is an illusionist afterall!!!)

In any case, if dragons are then Unseen + Raise, if they aren't then double the Raise. (I gotta have Raise in any case to make my story plausible, I also hope its ok for the Raise to not only summon the dead, but implant souls into casual inanimate objects that then behave in their own uncontrolled fashion?).

Excellent, I am in  ;D.

I have a few questions regarding Possession: 1) Is there an area of effect? 2) How long does it last? 3) Is the magick required for the spell deducted at the end or the beginning of the spell? For example, when I cast it, does my magic increase to (117-50)*2 = 134 or to (2*117) - 50 = 184?

What do you guys think regarding Oblivion? It sounds like a really useful spell. However, we do not want to banish the dragon; we want to capture it and bring it back to the College of Wizards.

R'rud has managed to expertly disguise himself as a dancing girl and enter the royal palace in the city of Yang. Here he is asked by Ibun to dance for five foreign wizards, which will arive shortly as honored guests. He meets up with the 'other' girls in the dressing room, where he sees the sight of his life. All these slim, ample breasted, barely clad (or naked), very fit women stretching and bending in front of him. Slowly, the material hiding his manhood becomes very restraining and painful, so he forces himself to keep a calm mind (while making mental images for later study of course). They discuss their expectations of the wizards they'll be meeting soon, looking forward to the event. Also, appearantly the mother of one of the girls is quite sick because of a strange new pox. Some questions are asked of R'rud (where are you from, why are you here) which he answers in a high voice with practised ease. The girls and R'rud spend their time perfecting their dancing skills. R'rud slowly becomes fitter, more agile and in better control of his body than he already was. After a few days, the wizards arrive. Standing behind Ibun, R'rud watches the greeting of the wizards and the strange wardance of Verincent that follows. He quietly discusses the dance with the other dancers, who all agree that the dance had great power, but was unfortunately executed with a lack of technique. Not all people can be great dancers. Nontheless, the dance made a stunning impact. Mordin leaves with two of the girls to heal the old lady.

R'rud and the 'other' girls follow the remaining wizards to the guest quarters, where the wizards can dine and rest. Fenlander makes a speech about becoming friends. He also asks for help in their quest, even though the quest itself remains unexplained. The dancing girls and Ibun don't know what to make of this, even though R'rud has an idea of what Fenlander is aiming at. R'rud decides to talk to Fenlander at the first upcoming possibility.

The Wizards enjoy the food and looking at the women, who dance suggestively and seductively but keep it broadly tasteful. Uther suffers another mental breakdown and starts tapping walls and stomping on floors to find secret escape routes but only finds sore fingers and feet. The women think he's doing yet another elaborate dance. R'rud can't help but notice the sneaky looks Uther gives while stomping on floors. Appearantly he is secretly trying to look under the skirts of some of the girls.

Uther asks one of the girls about a tour of the most interesting parts of the castle. After Ibun nods her agreement, the girl takes Uther by the hand and starts walking. Andronicus and Fenlander want to come along as well. Before Fenlander leaves, R'rud slips close towards him and while looking Fenlander seductively in the eyes, whispers: "Perhaps YOU should stay here with me, I would REALLY make it worth your while. I can be a great friend to you, *wink*".

In order: It's not an aoe spell, it affects you and all combatants in combat. (So literally, every person currently in battle with and against you). It lasts until combat ends. Beginning.
