Yeah it is better not to do it on a mobile :)
I guess we could use a numbering system for squares if many people use mobiles? (i.e. post your actions on forum, I will trace it out myself)

Pvt. Mori reporting. I am in a strange room and straight ahead I see some unidentified bogies. I'm heavily outnumbered and a fell I'm a sitting duck if I open fire immediately. I will create a distraction and see if I can take potshots as they respond to it.

6 Kerosene barrels are just in my field of view. Maybe I can weaken their shell with a couple of rounds of my pistol and make the bogies respond to the potential threat. The past few shooting sessions I've seen in the past remind me how these badboys seem to have a sweetspot of 3 rounds to make one explode. Great fun how we used to place our bullseyes just on top of these, rookies would be failing explodingly to great laughs.

I hope this sweet spot works. Lets get this ball rolling. I'll shoot this badboy twice and make them come closer to me and I'll slightly hide behind these pillars to take potshots at whoever comes or finish the barrel off when they are close enough to it.

Mori: Starts looking almost left, shoots 2 pistol rounds at marked barrel, turns 180' and walks 2 squares (40 + 20 + 40 = 100 TU).

I would not recommend to come up with weak spots yourselves (unless you see an interaction based on previous description, there is nothing wrong about adding descriptions/content to the game as long as it does not affect the actual outcome ;) ). In this case I'd recommend to first request further description of the barrel. (which can be split in either just more detailed description, or a request for full-turn close up investigation).

In this case I interpret your description as "fire at any visible weak spot on the barrel" and there are no indications that they are filled with kerosene. These are standard-issue nuclear waste barrels that explode due to radon build up inside, and majority of the damage comes due to thermally hot contents, rather than ignition...

In any case, at 2 shots that you fired, you got 84, 29 (btw, 2 shots take 50 TU, not 40, but Ill let it pass this time)
:
Pvt. Mori glanced at the barrel, considering what would make it die faster, he fired off two shots, one of them missing wildly, while the other penetrated the barrel just near the floor, a very slow goop of green mass started to emerge from the small hole. (barrel took 20 damage, resulting in 130 health remaining, this info would not be posted in the full game)

it does, you can start facing in any direction, so he faced the barrel he shot for 50TU, then turned 135 degrees (45 firing cone tolerance) for 15 TU, and made 2 square move, 40 TU, so he is 5 TU over the limit, which I forgive since this is a test game :P

Mr. Angelheart finds himself in a strange room, filled with barrels, four concrete pillars, and what appears to be humanoid enemies. He doesn't quite know why he defines them as enemies, but somehow it seems a given. With him is another person, named private Mori. That is pretty much all he knows about this person at this time. Mr. Angelheart carries a mean looking crossbow, and is wearing mostly blacks and grays. He is of young to middle age, around 30. He has a slim profile, but looks quite fit. A short black beard covers his chin underneath a slightly large nose and penetrating, cold, blue eyes. His hair is slightly curly and dark as well. Seeing that he is standing in the open, he quickly moves ahead to take cover behind one of the four pillars. He looks alert and ready.

Ah fine, lets advance the turn :

Boogies seemed to respond to the sound that echoed through the building. The grunts became alert and turned towards the source of the noise, sprinting forward. Another creature, maybe half the size of a human, has appeared in the distance and literally flew past one of the grunts (not a flying creature fyi). Mori and Angelheart lost sight of the two grunts, only sound of monotonous steps still indicated they were somewhere behind the pillars. Barrel kept oozing the sludge, very slowly.

P.S. Anyone else wanting to join is free to do so :P

P.P.S
Sight is 90 degree cone from the direction you are looking at (not faithfully implemented here, will be in full game)
Firing is also 90 degree cone (was wrong before, not 45)

P.P.P.S whoops, deleted the wrong post, re-posting (thank god I had another page open >.>)

Mori seems to have unleashed hell.

What have I done? I've alerted whoever these guys are to my presence, I can hear their footsteps echoing in the hallway, though I cannot see any of them anymore from where I stand. Let's see maybe it's for the better.

HOLY SHIT. So focused on this room that I didn't realize I was standing next to someone. He bolted just as soon as I fired, or maybe even before? Clad in all black, he must be one of the surviving Majestic 5 agents I had seen before... Capt. had told me about them at one point, but I was kinda surprised they would dispatch them in such a place. He does look wicked with that crossbow and black clothing, much more useful than this olive drab shit we footstomps get as standard issue. WTF is olive drab good for in this 23rd century. There is no more jungle anymore. Damn traditionalists.

But OK, Mori, Focus. Life and death situation here, you moron. I think it's good if we follow the guy that seems to have a clue. Though I did catch a little bit of a glare in my direction when I fired the gun. Let's survive. I move in between the 4 pillars he seems to be entering, just a couple of feet behind him, but not as much that I miss sight on the barrels I had fired on.

Turn: Turn left to face up-direction (10 TU), Two squares up (40 TU), and one diagonal right up (28 TU), Turn 135° to face barrels (15 TU). Total 92 TU.

[OOC Meme, will you fill out your moves in the drawing? I still have some move left, which I can use after I know exactly where you are heading]

Mr. Angelheart sighs softly to himself when he notices the rookie (what else could he be?) alerts the entire room to their presence by firing twice at a barrel which is standing close by. The rookie even misses one shot. Hearing footsteps near one of the pillars, Mr. Angelheart moves diagonally, to take cover behind one of the pilars. Here he has a decent line of sight of anything that is coming from straight ahead or to the right. He decides to quickly check his left side as well, and notices one really speedy enemy and one grunt on the other side of the room. He then turns up and right again. After taking up his position he tries to get the attention of the rookie to motion him to take position on his left. That way, their entire front, left, and right side should be covered for the time being. He can only hope Private Mori understands his intention.

One move diagonally (while looking in the same direction), Turn 90 left, Turn 135 up and right, ending diagonally. (total of 28+10+15 = 53 TU). Saving the rest for after Mori has moved.

I'v drawn his move, and I will advance the turn (its a test game, don't take it very seriously).

As Mori and Angleheart hunkered down near one of the pillars, hostile grunts continued to stomp their way towards them, seemingly surrounding them, as Angleheart caught sight of one passing on the right and the other heading towards pillar on the left... The fast creature, on the other hand, was quiet peculiar - it kept on screaming down the hall until it hit one of the barrels, dealing (70 damage, barrels health down to 80) significant damage to the barrel, causing one of the lower rings to collapse and spout green sludge  everywhere.. The hall echoed with creature's howl, filled with anger and frustration... It turned towards Mori and appeared to prepare for another charge...

Mr. Angelheart has seen one enemy move past him on the right side. A glance to the left showed him that 2 enemies were moving past him on that side as well. Then he heard that god aweful scream. By now he knows that he is surrounded. But he does not like it, not one bit. He needs to get out, push hard, forward. Moving a few paces forwards he notices the fourth enemy standing behind a pillar. Mr. Angelheart takes careful aim, and fires...

You get 23 :

Your crossbow bolt lodges right into the middle of the grunt's chest... You observe as a cloud of dust emerges from it's mouth and it stumbles back, shocked. (dealt 25 damage to grunt, remaining health 50).

*In full game you have to spend some TU to "observe" your target that would give you more info on it, but I will describe it here anyway*

The grunt looks like a fairly stereotypical soldier, in full light body armor coming in greens, and with a handgun in one of it's hands. Upper part of the face is covered by extremely dusty helmet which makes it hard to make out the details, but the jaw tells pretty much the whole story - skin has turned grey, looking very dry with cracks, you can also make out teeth as the mouth is not fully shut. You spot "Patterson" on the nameplate. Its difficult to say why these things move at all...
