OOC: I'm thinking pipe bomb. But I've always wanted to eat something explosive.
Re: The DoomXcom game >.>
Dig out the can and examine it. Do a further exploration of the area before moving to the next hex, Mori? No water found so far?
[Sorry for keeping this short, pretty bussy atm]

Re: The DoomXcom game >.>
Well, digging out would not work as you have effectively no tools other than your... revolver
(again filling in here to save some time, but do consider "how" you are planning to dig something out...)
Mr Angelheart attempts to pull out the can, but is unable to take a good grip on it. After a little consideration he sticks the barrel of his revolver into the ground next to the can and slowly forces it to twist. Compacted mess of grass roots and soil finally decides to yield and let go of the can... after a few more of these manoeuvres Angelheart finally pulls the can out of the ground. As he was about to read "Baked Beans 500g", he heard a click sound that would resemble a released pin or mechanism of some sort... (from the hole in the ground, not from the can). Your actions? (Mori is standing next to Angelheart)

Re: The DoomXcom game >.>
Ask Mori to carefully examine the hole and give the details back to Mr Angelheart.
Re: The DoomXcom game >.>
OOC : Lol Solar, thats very noble of you

Re: The DoomXcom game >.>
I assume I activated a trigger and have to stay still? Mori however is free to move?
Re: The DoomXcom game >.>
With all due respect, Mr. Angelheart, this was a WWII bunker from as little as we could ascertain in the dark.
Granted, it would be extremely rare to find a can labeled baked beans, and then have it have a clicking sound, but I suspected boobytrap from the start. How about we step away from the hole, count our blessings and take the can and if we are still curious, throw pebbles at the hole?

You dont want to carefully examine the hole? If not, I agree. Lets make a break for it.
Re: The DoomXcom game >.>
Rofl you guys...
As Mori and Angleheart make it for their lives, expecting to hear shrapnel catching onto them, the lonely hole in the ground just stays there... After finding cover behind a fairly wide tree trunk (all tree trunks are nearly identical to each other, and seem to be ~2m in diameter.. so I am not quite sure why they chose this one particular tree over the closest one to the hole but I am not the one to question...) About 5 minutes past and nothing still happened, Mori peeks out and observes the same old hole still there, nothings changed. No sound could be heard since the original click either...
P.S. :
Hunger/Thirst mechanics works as follows :
Hunger : under 50% hunger you get 75% of your base stats. Under 25% you get 50% of your base stats. At 0% you get 25% of your base stats, you permanently loose 5% of your stats per 6 hours (or -1 at minimum).
Thirst : under 25% you get 75% of your stats, at 0% you get 25% of your stats. you die after 1 day of 0% thirst. (keep in mind you have to replenish what you lost during the 0% as well).
Dont look at formulas yet they are not final. Effectively vit will increase capacity, STR/INT/AGL will increase consumption per hour.

Re: The DoomXcom game >.>
Mr Angelheart continues his full exploration of the general area around the bunker [OOC explore the entire hex], looking for water and other foodstuff. He sets several traps and snares, hoping to catch some food. He will have to check on them later. He also keeps an eye out for possible hostiles.
Re: The DoomXcom game >.>
you have no traps nor snares... unless you would describe a way you would make them out of the available material? How long do you spend exploring the surroundings? (how many hours). With Mori/without? What do you do about the hole? avoid it? re-check it?
Re: The DoomXcom game >.>
(OOC: We need objectives other than "Bear Grills-ing", pls)
Re: The DoomXcom game >.>
[Your objective is to sort out where the heck you are and what is happening... You have not even left your square yet
. My suggestion is to check out the food you gathered and move on to explore]

Mr Angelheart suggests to check out the food they have found and move on to explore the next hex on the left together with Mori.
Pick up a suitable piece of wood to use as a weapon if needed.

Re: The DoomXcom game >.>
Angelheart, I agree to that suggestion. I would also add lets follow south hoping to come across some road that leads up to the door we exited the bunker from.
