I just uninstalled World of warplanes. the flight model is too simplified (even when compared to the arcade mode in war thunder), damage is dealt to the plane's HP bar and not specific sections like in WT, and that was that for me.

it's too bad that the recent patch made dive bombing in dive bombers not viable, it's figs vs heavy bombers now, so i'm dive bombing in fighters now :P

- X-Com Enemy Within
- League Of Legends
- Splinter Cell: Blacklist

Still nearly exclusively WoT and Dungeon Crawl: Stone Soup version. Waiting on Elite: Dangerous like the coming of a messiah though.

Currently enjoying the Android version of Dungeon Keeper. Nice enough little casual game although the emphasis on micro transactions is a little wearing. I'm quite enjoying it so far without spending any money and if it gets to a point of spend to enjoy I'll uninstall.

There's a social guild aspect if anyone else is playing?

It's quite infamous for being an overpriced in-app-purchase hell. Is it actually playable? Digging out massive areas was core gameplay in the PC version.

It's playable in a "couple of minutes whilst the tea brews" kind of way. You're not going to play it like the original Dungeon Keeper but it's an entertaining diversion for a few minutes at a time.

Whilst digging is important and may get frustrating once you get into the slower digging areas at the outside of the map it's fine to set your imps to dig a bit and come back a few hours later to set them the next bit. What you can't do is excavate the whole lot in one go. It hasn't annoyed me yet, but it is only day 3 or 4.

Tried it for a day or two. Uninstalled. As well as the micro-transaction stuff - which isn't too annoying - there's too much encouraging you to log on ALL the time, such as the imp-slapping, and the fact that mines fill up within 2.5 hours.

I'd quite like something similar for my phone though, building something over time but that I don't have to log in *all* the time.

I don't know if it's available on Android, but "Solomon's Keep" is a pretty awesome Gauntlet / Diablo style game for the iOS. Works great on a phone (or tablet).

I've played a couple of other farm/build games.

Theme Park was pointless. Log in, tap stuff for money, spend money on more stuff to tap. That was it, no strategy and none of the charm of the IP. It didn't matter where you placed things they still made the same profit. Tedious and slow.

The Simpsons Tapped out was very similar but at least had a sense of humour on top of collecting stuff to tap. Ultimately dull and tedious.

Dungeon keeper for all its flaws at least had an element of strategy. Placing rooms and designing your dungeon is important and there's a fun PvE and PvP element as well.

My guess is that there's 2 to 3 weeks of casual play in it

Don't Starve

That indie game is so cool. Your character wakes up in the middle of nowhere with nothing but the clothes on his / her back, and needs to find food, shelter etc etc... and the world is wonderful and weird. It's a wilderness survial and exploration adventure. Fully recommended  8)
