You did, just
15 out of 47  D6 rolls for gandy's team were 1.
[/quote]
Did the maths on this, just because I can.
Chance of rolling 15 or more 1's from 47 rolls = 0.77%  :o

Heh. Gandy had enough startlingly bad luck with his one treeman, it spent the entire first half rooted to the spot., and the majority of the second lying down :-)

Yep... he took root on first turn. Managed to hit one chaos warrior who strayed too close later in the half. Second half started with a two-dice block, both rolled both down. He finally stood up some 4 turns later by which time the game was elsewhere on the pitch.

End of the game he was sat near my end zone, as a bug meant he didn't appear when I was setting out my team so he just appeared in a random location. I tried to pick the ball up with him twice for lols, but failed.

So I was basically 1 player down the whole game, and my wardancer went off injured during the first half; I gave up all hope from that point really what with the dice being screwy too.

I did succeed with a 3-dice-against block on the ball carrier at one point though. Yay for wrestle. :D Of course the ball didn't bounce kindly though.

Gandalf won't be here on Sunday.

I'd like to play against NJ, which leaves Rav to play against Spinx.

If that's ok with you guys?

With 3 fixtures left after this weekend hopefully we can finish Season 1 in two more weekends? What are people's availability for Sunday 2nd and Sunday 9th March?

I might miss one of those, on holiday I'm afraid. Apologies because it's me being rubbish again.

I'd be happy to try and make a mid week game if it was arranged in advance.

For the record, I'll be missing next week (2nd March) as I'll be on hols.

Is Lt Spinx definitely on tonight? I'm dead tired as my little boy is poorly and was waking up all last night so I won't wait around long because my brain is fried.

Sorry, sleep calls. Can we organise a game mid week Spinx? Wednesday would suit me if I get a bit of notice.

Then Beastmen Actually Caused Injuries! And did a pass!

Truly they are multi-talented.
;-)

The Outcasts beat Idans Grim Grimms Humans 2-0. Helped by numerical superiority in the second half.

First Half.
Chaos Receive and Cage half way into the humans half, slowed by sterling double layered defence by Idan's team. In this initial push we manage to injure two of those stupid Oomans.
Eventually, Chaos break out make a pass (!) to the other side of the field (from the one they were caging up) and run for the Touch Down line (needing one Go For it to score) Unfortunately this failed, and the Ball was left on the goal line
Idan's catcher then tried to scoop up the ball and get it away from the goal line. But failed the pick up - the ball scattered into play near some chaos players.
Some fighting around the ball went on until eventually Chaos manoeuvred so that all a beastman had to do was pick up the ball on a 3+ in the last turnand walk it over the goal line (obviously this too failed)
Idan took the chance on his final turn  to try and foul my Minotaur who was having a rest on the field. This failed, and worse another of his players got sent off

Cursing my luck at picking up the ball We set up for the second half
Idan had only 8 so set up to defend the ball leaving no-one on the flanks - He picked it up, caged it,  and tried to get his  AG4 lineman free in my half.
Unfortunately, as the ball landed a bit short, and there was no protection on flanks, Chaos could swarm up around the ball (and around the possible catcher) to restrict Idan's options.  This worked, and the Beastme managed to winkle the ball out and run a score.
Chaos kicked off again and it was almost ground-hog day as the ball landed in pretty much the same area, for a repeat performance of Chaos swarming around the ball as soon as it was picked up. Scoring for the 2-0 with the last turn.

Tl:dr Version - Chaos received in first half, but didn't score. Idan though was left 3 players down, which proved crucial in the second half.

Notes on Dice Rolls

The D6 failed me a bit this time (not terribly) with slightly more 1s than average (6 out of 29) 5 2s and 6 3s
I had decent/good luck with the Hitty and Injury rolls though

Idan did worse with his D6, and had really bad luck when he tried to pick up the ball a couple of times. His blocking/hitty rolls were almost as good as mine (though he made far fewer block rolls (118 vs 27)

This bit confused us to be honest, as we both were expecting Idan to have a lot more treasury, due to the difference in TV. But I guess the game has fixed  the bug where Journeymen don't count towards TV?

Idan's team had been horrible beaten up by the dwarfs, so he had 3 Journey men
3 Journeyman line-men at 50k each means his "starting" Team Value was 1090 I guess.... Rav?

NJ, you might be right because I started with 100,000 in spare cash, and if you count the journeymen in the TV is makes sense.

I really like your summary and statistical analysis. Good job!

As for trying to foul the minotaur, I had 5 assists and managed to break his armor, but unfortunately didn't managed to injure him AND got ejected.

From the rules:

If a team can only field 10 or less players for the next match, the team may bring Journeymen onto the roster for free until the team can field 11 players fo the next match A Journeyman is always a player from the 0-16 or 0-12 allowed position on the team's roster. He counts his normal rookie cost towards the total team value, but has the Loner skill as he is not used to playing with the team. Journeymen may take the total players on the team (including injured players) to more than 16 at this point.

So yes, the journeymen should have counted towards TV for this match. Not sure if that's a Cyanide bug (seems likely) or a BB Manager bug. I am well aware that there's a very very long list of bug reports on the Cyanide forum so that's a likely suspect.

Sounds like we're all having trouble managing the sheer strength of NJs chaos. I'll be honest I had expected NJ to start poorly and get better once the team picked up a few skills, as it is they've been a powerhouse pretty much from the get go.

Anyone up for a game on Wednesday at 8pm GMT?

I don't think the journeymen is a cyanide bug, otherwise I would've had lots of money for inducements in my last game when I had 3 journeymen, but I didn't (as far as I can remember).

Up until his latest game I'd attribute it more to the freaky dice rolls he & his opponents have been having. This last game he finally got what I would call average rolls but still better than Idan's. Idan's lack of players in the 2nd half were an issue.

I'm not. By the way don't worry about not turning up at times, this league was supposed to be run on a fairly relaxed basis. Thanks for letting us know. :)

It's as much that I want to play a game as much as I want to get the games played (if that makes sense, still not had enough sleep so who knows ;) ). I want to save up for an assassin before getting all stabby on your Elves Gandy ;)
