Looks interesting. I've been thinking of buying a new game of some sort that will use the full capabilities of my new PC. I'm still yet to buy any of these sandbox games, I think I would enjoy.

I could buy the 4-pack if anyone else is interested, in exchange for a game in return at some point in the future.

Myself and Spyball have this. There's not that much gameplay implemented yet, but it does look promising.

Added to my wishlist this morning. Got an email saying it was on offer this evening!

Will buy the 4-pack later today and see if fellow RT's / RL friends are interested. Post if you're interested in a copy.

Err can someone help me? I've watched the Alpha tutorial and all. I've gone with Quick Start 1. I have two main questions...

1) When flying the large ships I can't see where I'm going or anything, I just get a huge view of the ship. Pressing first person/third person doesn't change anything. How can I see where I'm going?
2) I've built a small ship on the landing pad thingy that is there to start with. But I can't get it off the ground. It has thrusters galore, engines, gyroscope and cockpit. I can get into the cockpit and try to move around, it does move very slightly as if it is straining against something.

Gandalf: The large ship you'll probably have to fiddle with the view. There's no first person view for them, but the left alt key lets you look around and mouse wheel can zoom you out some. As for the small ship - The landing gear is on. Hit "p" and it should come free.

The large ship view seems utterly broken for now.

i also bought that game some time ago in a sale. Looks very promising but is still bugged as hell. I remember that i successfully built a small mining ship and a big battleship there. The direction of the cockpit was very important for the view and you needed landing pad stuff for landing and starting. Alot of the spacecraft stuff like sensors was not functioning.

Did they activate the survival mode yet? Because i think that should be the main game originally.

Survival's been activated. You still need to start a ship via ladning gear, but there's no need to keep the gear once you've placed further pieces. Landing gear isn't strictly necessary for large ships or small ships that don't land on large ships - It's pretty much just insurance so your ship doesn't float away.

I've been impressed by the lack of bugs actually. I have had one random crash and that's it - and everything in game has been pretty smooth. Mouse clicks do what I expect them to etc.

My deep space 9 is coming along, it's taking so long though - building circles out of square pieces takes a long time...

And it has a 64 bit version too, which is absolitely grand. I run it on extreme without a problem.
