And me, Jim Johnson. Things are really heating up in the RT Cup, Bob, and not just the weather which was unseasonably warm over the weekend leading to a number of players getting hot under their collars.
Or was that the influence of the Bloodwieser Babes, Jim?
No, Bob, it was definitely the weather. After all several Vampire fans spontaneously burst into flames at the game between the Grimm Grimms and the Champions of Corruption. That game saw the Grimms fight their way back into contention in Badger Division by winning 3-0. It seems that whatever doesn’t kill those Grimms makes them stronger.
Fellentos Division saw some big scores too, Jim. The OverCheesers scuttled past the Brewers Brawlers 4 times to win 4-0. The Brawlers got a good few hits in though and the Skaven will be down a few players in their next game.
It was all one way traffic when Saur’d of Justice played the Witch Gate Wanderers with the Dark Elves winning 3-0 over the Lizardmen. Both teams suffered injuries though so they go into their last matches of the group stage slightly battered.
Our final match of the week, Jim, was the Everglade Wanderers and SuchDodge. As predicted this was a tense affair but in the end a misfiring wizard and some confused coaching by the Amazons allowed the Wood Elves to take the win 2-1.
It was a great week of Blood Bowl, Bob, let’s hope for more great matches next time.
