3 Months Later.. (Wizards)
Re: 3 Months Later.. (Wizards)
@Raveen doing anything? No follow-up questions for the spirits or anything?
Re: 3 Months Later.. (Wizards)
What sort of weapons spirits? And when you say thread, what do you mean? I wasn't planning on any needlework, should I consider it?

Spelling mistake on my part, should have been tread >.>
Swords stronger than man has ever seen. Magical staves of great power. Needles that could be thrown with great accuracy over long distances! Be wary of the foreigners, Fenlander..

Re: 3 Months Later.. (Wizards)
Meanwhile R'rud sticks close to Sylvos.
Re: 3 Months Later.. (Wizards)
Just checking
Sounds like there's good loot to be had here chaps, the question is do we help the defenders and hope for a reward, or join the raiders and just pillage?

Re: 3 Months Later.. (Wizards)
The party decides to stay in their rooms, ignoring Fenlander's adventurous spirit. Folst even deigns to go for a bath.
Downstairs, some other adventurous spirits were at work. Andronicus and Uther, ignoring the strange glances coming from the elves, have started betting who could down the strange silver drinks of the elves the most. Amazingly, Andronicus crashed to the floor in one, absolutely hammered, while Uther drinks a few dozen, wondering when it would kick in.
R'rud meanwhile follows Sylvos through a busy road leading to a big house on the hill, where he is received by several footmen.
"Say nothing unless spoken to," Sylvos said a bit bluntly, his face a mask of seriousness.
You enter what is supposedly a mansion, the footmen leading you to a wide corridor which opens up to an audience chamber. It's quite small, roughly the size of... oh, a cathedral. An ancient looking elf rises from a giant throne and walks down the dais as you and Sylvos advance.
They start speaking in their elf language, which you could make neither head nor tail of. The discussion starts slow and gets a bit heated, with fleeting glances at you from who you assume to be the mayor of Riverside. He's a very boring looking person. His lion's mane of hair matching his gold-brown cape and scepter, which he holds to the side of his throne as he hears Sylvos' petition.
This is getting awkward.. or is it going well? You don't know. Do you try to take your leave and wait outside? Interject and say something? Demand they speak your language?! CAST SPELLS?!

Re: 3 Months Later.. (Wizards)
My Lord,
Please excuse my rudeness of interrupting your conversation. I am not familiar with the habits amongst Elves. However, amongst the people where I am from, it is considered even more rude to talk in a tongue not understandable to all the people present. Especially if the topic of the conversation involves one of the people present, namely myself, as I can derive from the frequent glances cast my way. May I please request to continue this conversation in the Common tongue?
Furthermore, let me at least show proper form by introducing myself. My name is R'rud and I am a duellist in the service of the Council of Wizards. My party of fellow wizards was sent to the desert to investigate rumours of a dragon which is attacking the people who live there. While we were there, your liegeman Sylvos ran into our partly and quickly afterwards fainted as a result of pure exhaustion. He was attacked by a horde of goblins which we managed to fight off in an intense encounter which lasted throughout the night. Afterwards, he told us of the dangers your people are facing and we have offered our help.

Uther starts a looking around for any Elf beauties he can completely fail to chat up.
He then thinks he might as well make a few friends, and tries to plant a Genius idea in the barman's head. "It would be a genius idea to make all drinks free for the next hour in honour of our honoured and outlandish guests from afar...."

Re: 3 Months Later.. (Wizards)
A deathly silence as the mayor turns around to regard R'rud in a bewildered stare. After awhile, he turns to Sylvos and says in very halting human:
"Riverside will not send its warriors to the Undercity. It is obvious to all that a great evil has awakened under the earth. But the Undercity nobility must be evacuated. I will not put my own in danger. Sylvos seems to have found some more willing to carry out this task."
With them he gets up from his throne, and simply... leaves. Well. Apparently you've just been drafted into a rescue operation, alongside the rest of your bumbling friends.
Back at the inn..
Uther is having the time of his life, drinking every elf and their dog under the table, and not even feeling a bit hazy. The bodies of his fallen foes lay about him. The barman is suitably impressed, and keeps the elven drink coming. Andronicus is here somewhere, trying to chew on the floorboards in drunken stupor.
Folst is now clean and is wondering what the blazes is going on downstairs.

Re: 3 Months Later.. (Wizards)
Sylvos, we are willing to help but we are not a charity organisation. We have a mission of our own as well. The least the mayor can do is deck us out with some decent elven equipment and weapons, don't you agree?
Re: 3 Months Later.. (Wizards)
Sylvos stares balefully at R'rud before hurrying out of the audience chamber, the human following close behind.
"You should have kept your mouth shut... you have no idea what waits for you down in the darkness. Go find your fellows - I will see about the provisions for our journey. If I do not find any of you in the inn, I will understand - now go."
Meanwhile in the inn...
Folst and Uther are in the middle of a scene of carnage. All around them are drunk elven lads and ladies, all wrecked trying to keep up with Uther's drinking. Andronicus is here somewhere but damned if you could locate him under the pile of drunkenness. Folst laps at his cup of milk, the inn's supply of drink long exhausted.
Uther is still stone cold sober.

Re: 3 Months Later.. (Wizards)
Uther is shocked, as by this point of the night he is normally Morose and miserable and semi-conscious.
A little bit of his paranoia returns and he decides to check his drink was the same as every-one else's.
He inspects the last glass he drank from, comparing it to one of the unconscious Elves..
Checks the drink smells and looks the same.

Throw off the piles of drunks in a suitably epic cartoonishfashion
"Another!"
"Another!"
