Isinona demonstrates emergent gameplay, namely smuggling

This epic pilot really takes things to the next level. I can't even begin to understand how he or she can fly with flight assist off like this. The mastery of the stealth mechanics impressive, and the story is being told very effectively with text and scene editing.

You guys need to see this :)

Beta 2 coming soon, with proper missions. Nice preview of weathering effects on the ships.

If any of you chaps would fancy old 21th century national flag based paint jobs for the Viper mk 3, they are up for sale for a few days now. I don't expect to see them again.

As good a reason as any. ^-^

Tomorrow is the last chance to buy a union flag paint job for a Viper, should you fancy one.

Not whinging just asking on this one. The actual piloting about the place is it still at the same level of difficulty? Just wondering if it is more newbie friendly is all.

Hmm, not much. They are polishing the user interface and such.

What are you using to fly, and what is the main problem. I can probably help. Elite does fly like a simulator, so there is a fair degree of complexity, but it's nothing you can't handle. It just takes a few hours for things to click.

Mouse is a perfectly valid tool for flying btw, but it's probably significantly harder to "get" than joystick early on.

The new "cel-shaded" look is so good...

So I spent £6 on a PS3 Eye Cam and £1.25 on a good driver for it and the results are awesome! Head tracking is amazing and I totally recommend it! Especially when it is so cheap!
