CRIKEY - league leaders Weird Outcasts drop first points of the season to hapless underdogs Mighty Undercheesers!

The Weird Outcasts just about managed to get the ball over the line in Turn 8; the Mighty Undercheesers equalised in Turn 14 - and the Weird Outcasts doubleskulled their first block in their turn 15. Without a reroll!

Two goblins had to be "retired" after the match, unfortunately - David Bowie had a particularly tasty pie this evening.

Nice work la!

The Amazon past time of oil-wrestling before a Blood Bowl game paid off once again, managing three touchdowns against Team Shrek. There were two almost-touchdowns by the Ogres, but lucky dice and a lot of dodging saw SuchDodge knocking over the ball-carrier twice and escaping.

Top moments of the match for me were a thrown pogo-stick goblin landing two squares further than it was possible to throw him, almost preventing a touchdown; and moving the ball almost the entire length of the pitch to score in one turn.

The last turn resulted in a lot of knocked down Amazons, which Gandalf really could have used throughout the rest of the game. The Amazons will be a player down for their next match.

Thanks for the game Gandalf!

Frustrating game, but such is life! Screwy luck and a lack of SPP's, which redeemed itself slightly at turn 16 and after the game. A couple of injuries to get 2 ogres levelled up, rolling to get 50k in winnings, and then proceeded to roll an 11 for an ogre level up, so I have an AG3 ogre now! Yay! He'll be getting strong-arm if he ever makes it to level up again. Watch out for snotlings lurking in end-zone to catch long passes :D

You forgot to mention when I tried to throw a snotling at your ball carrier but he knocked over an ogre instead ;D I think I attempted 6 or 7 thrown players that game. Re: the pogo guy, my 3 snotlings did at least manage to knock over your ball carrier (with a 1 dice block re-rolled) but alas you picked it up and walked over the line. Why couldn't you have had your luck from earlier right then - when you needed 4 rolls of the dice to pick up the ball? O0

The pogo stick man flying was the most unlikely animation I've ever seen. Fun times. He may be back for my next game against the Chaos, for the hilarity if nothing else. He at least made a positive contribution to the game, thus becoming my best inducement to date.

id3nt did his best to injure my ogres - and did knock over/stun a few, but nothing serious. This focus on my ogres meant that no snotlings got injured!!!! You'd've got good odds on that before the game.

Squishy, squishy, squish.... squish.

So, this is what happens when the orcs DON'T eat a bag of mushrooms before the game... The scene was set when the halflings failed a dodge while trying to sneak into the orc's half with a Blitz from the Kick Off... a poor hobbitses badly hurting himself on the way through... then the orcs pounded the bejesus out of any halfling they could get their hands on - a glorious attempt to get the ball from from a shoddy orc cage left one of the remaining halflings on the pitch surrounded by 5 orcs... who then promptly joined his fellow team mates in the dead & injured section of the dugout... Incidentally, the halfling coach was complementing his own business acumen; having organised some team sponsorship from the local morgue...

After clearing the field of halflings and not fancying taking on the trees yet, PirlOrc swaggered down the pitch to score the opening touchdown, acknowledging the crowd and the rather full halfling dugout with an arrogant flick of his beard.

There were a few turns left for the halflings to attempt to even the game, but Percy the Troll made sure no little buggers could get close enough to the trees to get lobbed anywhere.

The second half continued in a similar vein to the first; and when a sneaky halfling made it through enemy lines his was subsequently squished and carried off the pitch - perhaps it was the extremely full hotpot they'd been eating at half time (7 rerolls from the hotpot!!!) but the little fellas had about as much grace as a 'shroomed up Black Orc with their dodging attempts. PirlOrc again dismissed any halfling trying to get the ball from him, ordering his (pretty handy with Tackle) blitzers to clear a path for him to the endzone.

To be fair, it felt like I had all the dice I didn't get in my last 3 games in this one - the right dice at the right time, and Spinx couldn't do a lot as he only had two trees on the pitch for the majority of the match...

Anyway, must dash, I need to make sure the lads haven't gone to celebrate their victory with the UnderCheesers (who pulled off a fantastic draw by all accounts, throwing the league wide open?!) - Need to make sure Percy doesn't distribute a bag of celebratory mushrooms...

I had terribly poor block dice luck (nearly a quarter of my rolls were skulls, I rolled double skull 3 times (one of them was a reroll of the first one).

One that also stuck out was a single block roll to shift a skaven player so I could 2 dice blitz the ball carrier. A push/both down/ or hit/stumble would of been sufficient to move him.
I rolled a skull.
I rerolled
I rolled a skull.
(sigh)

That event let the ball carrier free to score, And I spent the rest of the game trying to beat up his players.
Strangely - that was the match (by far) in which the Outcasts caused the most injuries.

I didn't have time until now to write about the game, and now I don't remember anything too interesting.

Rav received the ball int he first half, and slowly tried to cage up the pitch, but he didn't get very far. I managed to get the ball off of him at about turn 6, and to score at the last turn of the first half.

Because I had 2 substitutes, I had the numbers advantage in the second half, and as an Elf team, that's really hard to stop. I managed to score twice in the 2nd half, and I don't really remember the details of both TD's.

Other then that Rav managed to pick up the ball twice, do a hand off once and even pass once, all with agility 2 players!

Welcome back Sportsfans!

This week in the RT Cup: The Pinewood Carrions got so excited by actually picking up the ball that they fell over and had a good sleep to celebrate. The Cangurus, after scoring 3 touchdowns, decided to offer a series of seminars on "Blood Bowl and the Art of Winning" to the dejected Khemri. A Carrions spokescorpse said "Seminarse? Phwoar!".

In a shock result The Weird Outcasts were held to a 1-1 draw by perennial under-performers and ball hoggers, The Mighty Undercheesers. It didn't all go the Undercheesers way though as two goblins had to be retired after the game. Shortly afterwards the Warpstone Troll, David Bowie, was seen wandering into the SuchDodge changing rooms with two goblin skulls rolling around his hand gabbling on about turning babies into goblins. Apothecaries are confident that he'll be up and ready for next weeks' match though, so don't worry fans!

Team Shrek had a run in against the Amazon ladies of SuchDodge this week too, only this time on the pitch. The Ogres weren't able to pin the Amazons down and the match ended 3-0 to SuchDodge. Ogre star hitter, Donkey, has petitioned the NAF Referees' Inspectorate to change the rules and force opposing players to stand still and take the punch properly.

Finally, The Orkly Ducklingz were able to cruise to victory 2-0 against Lager & Lime. The surviving Halflings have set up a memorial fund to remember their lost comrades.

Going forwards we have some thrilling games coming up in week 6.

The Greenskins will hope to continue their winning ways as The Orkly Ducklingz take on The Pinewood Carrions.

It's Goblin versus Goblin in a race to cheat first, cheat hardest and cheat best. The Mighty Undercheesers are playing Da Zoggin' Gitz.

Can the Amazons avoid the Halfling's massive wood as Lager & Lime go up against SuchDodge?

Unusually the Chaos team will be outstrengthed as The Weird Outcasts go head to bonehead with Team Shrek.

Gentlemen, my plan now is to schedule a catch up week between Weeks 7 and 8. So far that'll be me vs Ident and Idan vs Wyld but can of course include any missed games from week 7.

That way we can go into the final fortnight with all games played and no ambiguity about who needs to score what to win the league.

I genuinely didn't think it was a shock to be honest.

No tackle meant I was always likely to struggle versus fast manoeuvrable teams, and I was kinda lucky versus Idan.
Think The Amazon are going to give me a run for my money on that end too (If I survive the Ogres).

Frankly Idans team are the clear favourites for me, as He's already got through the hardest "Bashy" games (for him) with an intact team, and the remainder are going to have to play him on his own terms pretty much.

I've got the two teams who can easily beat me on my own terms to come.

I'll not be around this weekend, as my sign-up sheet for this season should say. But I should be able to schedule some catchup matches next week if Rav, LtSpinx, Idan are available?
