Ogre score - it's 1-1 !

- Was it really 2 attempts at 4+, there were a few snotlings around.
- There were 3 chaos people covering the ball. 2 were pushed away by ogres so they did contribute to the touchdown :p The snotling dodging in and out is almost a given (1 in 36 failure rate) but the 4+ pickup, pass and catch were pretty unlikely. But I did have the one re-roll left.

On the whole you had the best of the dice (though not by a huge amount) so I'm glad a lot of the luck I did have congregated together into the 4th TD ever for my team. :D These were the only SPP's I earned all game too so it was nice to get them, even if they were on snotlings.

Second half
[list]
[*]2 more chaos players fall to the sweltering heat. But this time an Ogre does too. And it's the one with AG3
[*] Chaos are more comfortable picking off Ogres now, and drive up their right side of the pitch. Caging in typical Chaos fashion

Yeah.... 5 ogres vs. 4 makes a heck of a difference.

[*] this proves no problem for the Mighty chaos warriors though who KO or injure snotlings willy nilly.
[*] Noticing he is near the line, and noticing there are actually no snotlings left on the field means the Chaos coach shouts his players down to waste some time

The brave snotlings nearly pulled off an epic defence. I thought I had a 1D block using only snotlings to block your guy with the ball. However it was 2D against and 2GFI's as one snotling was lying down at the start. Nonetheless I went for it, 1 of the dice was defender down, the other was unfortunately attacker down. :p

[*] chaos on their last turn, pick up the ball and try to run it up the pitch (perhaps they shouldn't have dawdled after that last TD after all)

Yes you made the scoreline a lot more respectable than it should've been! I score TD's once in a blue moon :p

Good write-up notj! I'm glad my last 2 matches aren't against title contenders. :) I am sad my ogres got no more SPP's but I got another 50k in money after the match, so only 40k away from my 6th ogre now. :D

Not the most exciting of matches - akin to watching Tony Pulis's Stoke Vs a Sam Alladyce Bolton, minus the excitement of long balls being pumped up the the big lad up top... yes, riveting stuff...

We started once, and the orcs made a nice start, then it broke, so we started again, and this time the Carrions bought a wizard to the party who bizzarely got more inducements 2nd time round. It turned out to be an inspired choice, as the wizard KO'd PirlOrc the ball carrier and his guarding blitzer, blowing a gap in the Orc lines that an agile, nimble (...) skeleton zipped through for the TD - The Ducklingz seemed to be feeling the effects of an afternoon in the early autumn sunshine finishing off the Ale they'd robbed from the Halflings after the last (massacre?) match. Only Percy the Troll seemed bothered enough to try and track back to defend, and then he forgot what he was doing there in the first place.

I got shafted with the dice a 3 crucial moments in the 2nd half to get the ball back, but I'm beginning to feel like Neil Warnock moaning about referees now, so I'll leave it at that. On the plus side I pulled off some silly dodges I was too daft to realise I had to make - even a Black Orc made one dodge... At the end of the day the Ducklingz are happy to be at the top of the Most Violent and Most Brutal Team Standings with only one game left to play, so that's a winner.

Well played Rav :)

The Ducklingz only have one game left this season, so you'll most likely be seeing them loitering around other team's stadiums eating mushrooms and drinking ale.

Thats what BBManager says I guess. Think they had Tackle Zones on them which negates their tackle zones or something? Unsure to be honest. Would have to watch the game and look

Yeah (apart from the dodges) you basically had to roll 4+ on 3 out of 4 dice rolls (including the reroll) and roll 2+ on the GFI. Definitely less than 50% odds.

Was a fun Game. I was lucky to get away with all my players unscathed too. The poor snotlings were not so lucky :-)

Not denying it was lucky, just giving it some context, and as I said I was generally on the wrong side of the dice (eg your 3 most common block rolls were both down, defender stumbles and defender down - all generally winning dice for you) so it was nice to get something from the comparatively small amount of luck I did get. (BTW I think the catch was 3+)

Yes my amour rolls were pretty fail. 20 x 2D6 and all I managed was a 10 and a 9....

I think I have the following to play:
  • Raveen;
  • Idanmel;
  • LtSpinx;
  • notjarvis.

I don't really mind what order I play you, but preference would be LtSpinx first (to let my players recover), and notjarvis last (for the most excitement). I can make most evenings except probably Friday this week. If any of you are around at about 8pm BST then I'd be happy to play you and get some matches out of the way.

Your games against Idan and NJ are scheduled for weeks 8 and 9. I can play our catchup this Thursday at 8 if it suits you?*

Assuming that goes ahead, this Sunday will see the following games:

The Cangurus vs Da Zoggin' Gits

Lager & Lime vs SuchDodge

Both should be pretty spectacular so spectating may be fun for the rest of us!

Chaos vs Amazons should definitely be the last day.

Is it bad that I read that as Chavs vs Amazons?

No, it just means you spent lunch in the pub like I did.

Plus, PirlOrc and the ladz are looking forward to a week off. Percy the Troll sez he can hack the CabalVision so we can watch BOTH MATCHES AT ONCE.

Fancy that.

That reminds me - I can't spectate at all, never establishes a connection. Raveen you said something about port forwarding?

Suits me, sir. Thursday nights are normally Geek Club, so Blood Bowl should be fine instead.

Wifely permission received!

I'll aim for 8 but I might be a bit late depending on the usual PC startup slowdowns :)

If I can drag the lads away from the mushrooms we'll come watch.
