Predictions Thread

Postby Raveen » Tue Sep 09, 2014 11:43 am

Well chaps, with the last few games ready to be played it's about time to predict the winner.

I'd introduce gambling or some prize money but there's no way to get it into the game :(

The following teams can potentially win the RT Cup:
  • The Weird Outcasts - Played 6, Won 5, Drawn 1, Lost 0
  • The Cangurus - Played 6, W 4, D 1, L 1
  • SuchDodge - Played 4, W 3, D 1, L 0
  • The Pinewood Carrions - Played 5, W 3, D 0, L 2

For my money the Outcasts have to be the favourites. Whilst the Cangurus are total score whores I don't see them having the all round solid play of the Chaos team.

SuchDodge, with 2 games in hand, are total dark horses. They could be swept away or triumph. They have a hard run to the end of the year though, playing both the Cangurus and the Weird Outcasts in the final weeks.

The Carrions are here purely because of the mathematical possibility of them taking the title. As much as it pains me, we don't have the skills to take on the likes of SuchDodge and the Weird Outcasts.

What do you all think?

I think it's between Amazon and Chaos - the Elves have lost a game, so are relying on Chaos to lose one to have a chance.

BUT, Amazons could lose against the Elves, who are hard to stop scoring (although don't Amazons have the best defence so far?)

If it comes down to the final game it will be difficult to call. The Chaos don't have the Tackle to necessarily overpower the Amazons.

So I agree, the Weird Outcasts have to be favourites - let's hope SuchDodge can handle the pressure of catching up and not make the final day an anticlimax.

I genuinely don't see my team as favourites.

Such Dodge are going to be a PITA for my clunky team, they are experienced, skilled and hard to pin down.

Can't see me going a whole season unbeaten at all.

For me it's Cangurus or Such dodge for the win.

It turns out very little clothing (AV7) is Not Good for playing Blood Bowl so when the Amazons do go down, they tend to go down hard.

It's still quite open. Kinda wish I played you next, because if You beat me the finale would be incredibly close.

I don't think the Carrions can win without something exceptional happening in the other games but we could make second. To be honest a top 3 finish would be a real success for a rookie Khemri team and I'm very happy with where I am.

3 teams at top. 1 Point between.

The Carrions have looked very hard to beat. I wouldn't bank on the Outkasts beating them and/or coming through unscathed at all.

I stick with the prediction I made weeks ago, and still say Cangurus are the favourites.

After the Amazon's bottled it, I'm gonna say the Elves to win on goal difference.

Percy has even bet a box of mushrooms on it.

OK, after tonights victory Chaos are favourites.

Cangurus need to win and overturn a 5 TD deficit in the last game to win the league.

A draw would be enough for Chaos to win overall.

Still not a done deal. The elves are more than able to run in 3 or 4 TDs, and the Carrions are capable of winning by 1 or 2 though

Right, Im putting half a box of mushrooms on an accumulator -

Carrions 1 - 0 Outcasts
Gurus 4 - 0 Suchdodge

Long odds indeed, but if it comes in

PERCY WILL BE BUZZED FOR A WHOLE YEAR.

I estimate my chances of winning the league at 1/15

Nothing personal Id, just that I'd already put my money on an Elf win!
