I'm going to go out on a limb and predict an Undercheesers win for the season. I think they'll be able to win their last two games and get the full points from them.
The Stags need to do some rebuilding so I'm guessing they'll win one draw one.
The Woodies, well they clearly can't be discounted and they're probably the bookies favourites given the state of the Stags, but I have a good feeling that I am going to be able to make a mess of both Elf teams and at least get a draw against them. It'll need a bit of luck with the armour dice but it can happen.
The Gurus I don't think have quite the legs to get the job done.
My top 3:
1: Undercheesers
2: Wanderers
3: Stags / Carrions (probably the Stags on goal difference)

Re: Season 4 Prediction Thread
That, sir, is crazy talk.
Re: Season 4 Prediction Thread
This is a league with a dwarven passing game, nothing is completely ruled out

Re: Season 4 Prediction Thread
I reckon you'll be able to avoid a crumping pretty well against the Dwarves, la. They don't move fast. Eballa might be a bit more trouble as they can move faster, but you should have the skills to get past them.
It's time for more of the elves to meet their maker. If I wasn't playing, I'd be watching the lanky gits get a good squishing by the Khemri.
I'll be battling for 5th place none-the-less, despite the fact that my predictions don't match up with that. I'd happily come 6th if it meant there were no elves in the top spot.

There's always replays Ident
Playing the injury game is just such a luck dependent task. Look at my last two games and I didn't get the injuries I was hoping for in either (although I did get injuries against the Norse they were a bit late in the game). If things go well in the first couple of turns then I stand a good chance of getting wins. If not... it's Elfball time

Re: Season 4 Prediction Thread
Did you chose to kick to me in our game? If you did, I'd argue that perhaps you shouldn't have. Receiving gives you a) the first chance to start bashing and b) control of the ball. Even if you're up against a team that can move past you, anyone who makes a run through for the ball is risking getting hurt. A bit of thought about positioning and you should be able to cause trouble for anyone wanting to get through.
That said, if you can't pick up the ball or protect it well enough that doesn't leave you in a good position. Still, some good positioning should force as many bloody elf dodges as possible, and they have to fail sooner or later. And then there is Leap, which is a pain in the ass. Kill the Wardancers

Re: Season 4 Prediction Thread
I did kick first and I agree it was the wrong decision (actually I can't remember who had that decision). I deliberately tried it the other way round against the Norse and, although it didn't benefit me I think it made my receiving drive a lot easier psychologically.
Re: Season 4 Prediction Thread
One week to go - plus the Idan - temmop game.
Assuming Idanmel wins that, there are 4 teams with a chance of winning the title come the last day (Elves, Elves, Norse, Underworld), which I think is very impressive, that the league has ended so close. Indeed no-one's position is secure, everyone could finish higher or lower than their current position (with the obvious exceptions of the teams currently at the top & bottom).
Brawlers 1 - 2 Undercheesers
Wanderers 3 - 0 Carrions (I'm probably overconfident following 13 TD's in 2 weeks)
Eballa 0 - 3 Cangurus (Nurgle's injuries are horrific)
Orks 1 - 1 Stags
Fables! 2 - 0 Undead
The cup is January I guess? I haven't looked at the rushing yards stats but I think the nurgle & undead looked most likely to miss out?
I think the wood elves will be forces to sit out next season because of the rule we decided at the start of the season about TV's over 2,000 sitting out the next season? They are not at 2,000 yet but could well be after the next 2 games. I won't try and force my team under this limit.

Re: Season 4 Prediction Thread
I might be sitting out the cup, not sure yet, might have a lot to fit in in January.
Brawlers 1 - 1 Undercheesers - Wouldn't be surprised if this is a draw myself. Expect half my team to get mangled.
Wanderers 2 - 1 Carrions - It would be nice if the suspense was kept up to the last few turns of the season at least..
Eballa 1 - 2 Cangurus - Casualties yes, but Eballa will get a lot of inducements, and have Dr Poo.
Orks 1 - 1 Stags - Seems reasonable.
Fables! 1 - 0 Undead - Well, I guess I just like low-scoring games and predictions. Might go for 2-1 just to get in the christmas spirit.

Re: Season 4 Prediction Thread
Wood elves to win, can't see Rav's team disabling enough elves to make it very tricky for Gandalf, he should be able to score reasonably freely even if down to 7-8 players I guess.
Undercheezers to win theirs.
I'll lose mine. 11 fit players at start, no-one with sure hands any-more, and the injured player is one of my runners (To be honest, I would expect my chances of winning to be better with my starting team than this end of season one)
Cangurus to win theirs.
Fables to win (sorry andy)
Dunno who I will play next season. Pretty sure my chaos team have retired, not sure I want to play them again - they just felt boringly good last season, even pushing Ogres and Ravs team around at points, many more skills will just be cheese.
Kindof enjoyed the Norse, might give them a go for another season, but if I have a few more injuries in this tournament and the cup, especially if my only properly skilled players get injured - they may not be worth continuing with.

I want to give the Undercheesers one last season, and then try Skaven again.
Re: Season 4 Prediction Thread
Maybe after next season we could play a Chaos vs Khemri friendly nj? I think it'll feel far less like a one sided match, although it'll depend on where the Carrions are by then
For me it's still the Undercheesers to take the league. That's more to do with wishful thinking than anything else though
Next year will be the last with the Carrions. They're really starting to hit the sweet spot now and people are starting to get properly afraid which is good. I'll say now that I fully expect to roll an Ag boost to one of the Throw-Ra's after the last game of next season and not before

Re: Season 4 Prediction Thread
I feel I have taken this a bit offtopic... Rav usually starts a "how do you think this season went?" thread so I will save the comments I have regarding team selection for that thread.
