Right, so tonight was Percy's big reveal... and what a magnificent reveal it was.

With PirlOrc in exile, and the Black Orcs in an Anti-Fragility Clinic, Percy has taken team affairs into his own hands... sacking the team, changing the strip and even changing the name (someone did tell him it would be easier just to start a new team, but anyway).
So, Percy would like to introduce his Persistent Plan, also known as 'The 'Shrooms' to those in the know. He's rounded up his best
customers mates, who for legal reasons are each representing their favourite mushrooms. (it's how Percy remembers who-wants-what you see). It's also going to be interesting for Percy's
chemist apothecary to see which mushrooms boost/hinder his customer's performance on the field of glory... and it'll be funny reporting which 'shrooms the trolls will undoubtedly eat...
So, the lads are already buzzing (....) from a fantastic start to things, no dead mushrooms, and FOUR touchdowns. A level up already for Magpie Fungus, who seems to be taking to the game quite well.
Yellow Stainer did a wonderful job of spinning the right way, twatting about some stuff and not twatting a troll.
Sulphur Tuft is still unsure if being given the chainsaw is a good thing or not after knocking himself out with it and failing miserably to convince the ref he was just happy to see him... (That's NOT a chainsaw in my pocket, etc)
The rest of the lads were happy to see Ripper turn up to pay off some of his debt to Percy, and confound the enemy with a rather tasty 3 troll frontline.
In true perfectionist-manager style Percy has to look for the bad points - and he was disappointed with the lack of fouls and no dead doggies. He intends to address by doubling the foul-bonus for the ladz.
So, with a massive moral boost the ladz are looking forward to one more practice game before starting the season proper. Surely all games will be like this?
Journalist's note: it was pretty obvious Percy gave Nuffle a LOT of shrooms in offerings before the game - The Plan got all the luck and Fables got bugger all. Ident took it very well, and was probably just confounded by all the trolls and dodging and loons and chainsaws and completely flukey flying gobbos.
