Sons of the Silver Sword 1-2 Feebles
Feebles really do need the win to keep the pressure on the top of the table...

Cheeseophers 2-1 Pinewood Carrions
The Carrions desperately need the win, but don't you go counting out all that bloody Hypno Gaze...

Astrogranite Apocalypse 2-2 Team Shrek
Should be a lovely and violent game, Astrogranite on a high after flattening the goblins but some slippery snotlings getting through for a draw.

Brewers Brawlers 27-0 Percy's Persistent Plan
Percy has quadrupled the 'shroom offering to Nuffle, and has decided that running away a lot is more than reasonable.
Block AND Tackle. And other stuff. Chuffing DWARVES. We're not looking forward to this one.

Sons of the Silver Sword 1-2 Fables!
The High Elves have clearly learnt how to score but probably aren’t used to the Necromantic combination of skill, strength and speed.

Cheeseosophers 1-2 Pinewood Carrions

I’ll have to be far more on top of my game than I was last week to even consider a draw.

Astrogranite Apocalypse 2-1 Team Shrek
There will probably be death.

Brewers Brawlers 2-1 Percy's Persistent Plan
There will probably be more death.

Sons of the Silver Sword 2-1 Fables!
I'm going to go out on a wing and call this one for the slightly butcher team of prancing ninnies. I think that the Elves will get the job done although you can't discount Id3's play. Could go either way

Cheeseosophers 0-1 Pinewood Carrions

I think it'll be a solid Kemri result. Hopefully I can get enough injuries in to seal the deal early on or it could go horribly wrong.

Astrogranite Apocalypse 2-0 Team Shrek
I'm guessing that an Ogre will die to Claw.

Brewers Brawlers 1-2 Percy's Persistent Plan
I think the Brawlers have too high a TV and will therefore be playing against 2 trolls and possibly Morg and Ripper. If Daigoro can get 4 big guys then I think he'll be able to get the touchdowns over the line. Assuming he doesn't do something stupid :P

The range in predictions for the Fables vs the Sons entertains me. I genuinely have no idea what to expect coming up against the High Elves.

Finally, someone other than myself predicts me to score what is easily Team Shrek's most common number of touchdowns!

Anyone predicting me to score 2 in any game must be high or something. I need to roll an awful lot of 2+'s to roll a cage down the pitch, or else complete a crazy pass, in order to score. Or throw a snotling to the line. That works too (well technically, it never has, but maybe one day). Or have no-one enemies left on the pitch, but even then, I utterly wrecked the elves and goblins but still couldn't score. :p

So anyway, to summarize, ALL GLORY TO THE HYPNO GAZE

I was going to do this week’s predictions, but I’m not sure who’s playing – the only thing I know is that I don’t think I’m playing for another fortnight, which is a shame as I’m looking forward to my game against the High Elves which I think will be a good clean barely violent high-scoring draw. Hopefully we’ll both get through without losing any more players!

OK, since we now have fixtures for the weekend...

The Brewers Brawlers 1 - 1 Percy’s Persistent Plan. Dworves are over-valued, but with tackle playing a dodgy team, evens out to a draw.

Astrogranite Apocalypse 0 - 2 Saur’d of Justice. Not much tackle will cause issues against the skinks. If last season is any pattern this will be notjarvis' last win of the season :p

The Brewers Brawlers 1 - 2 Fables. Fables to keep their title challenge on track.

as I’m looking forward to my game against the High Elves which I think will be a good clean barely violent high-scoring draw. Hopefully we’ll both get through without losing any more players!

Ah, I do miss playing less bashy teams, having had lizardmen and Chaos as my last two, and dwarves next...

Dwarfs will be too much for the Goblins I think 2-0

I've had it easier so far, playing two stunty teams, the Vampires early in their development, and the Elfs after they had been hammered by the ogres, I'm expecting to lose a few now.
The match with the Apocalypse all comes down to how well he injures the Saurus's I think. Lots of Claw gives him a good chance, and if he can get 2 or more saurus's (or the Kroxigor) off the field I think Chaos will win.
2-1 to Chaos versus the Lizards :-)

I also think the Fables will win 2-1 They have the manoeuvrability in the canine section to get away with a couple of scores.

Dwarfs should win, yes - all that Block and Tackle is horrible for goblins.

I would put the lizard-Chaos score the other way around but can't fault your reasoning NJ.

And yes, the necromantics should also win, being much more maneouvrable and nearly as tough.

Haven't done this for a while!

So... I reckon 2-1 to the skinks, 2-1 to the vamps, 1-0 to the khemri, and 1-1 to the dwarves.

Gandalf's handy guide to notjarvis' seasons...
Season 3: Start like a train, say it's all going to go wrong but then steamroller everyone and win the title by a distance.
Season 4 : Start like a train, say it's all going to go wrong and it duly does.
Season 5: Start like a train, say it's all going to go wrong but then steamroller everyone and win the title by a distance.

I think we can all see where Season 6 is going for him.

notjarvis wrote:Season predictions (I did them after the first game last season - so i'm doing the same again)

The Pinewood Carrions – Clear favourites. Everyone should be pretty much scared of facing them, specially with fewer dainty pansy dodgy teams to score past them this time.

Astrogranite Apocalypse – Second favourites, making last weekends match hard to take. They've got the skills and talent to do well though,

Fables! - More development, a good coach, and those annoying werewolfs make them a solid bet do do decently.

The Cheeseosophers – I feel a bit lucky I faced them so early in the team's cycle (with players missing too). lawas (as we saw last season) is a very good coach, and has a good plan for using the Vamps, and built in enough rerolls to keep bloodlust in check. With a bit of luck they should be up there

The Brewers Brawlers – I favour to do a lot better than last season. Can see them easily being mid table or higher

Saur'd of Justice – Will be reasonably happy with Mid -> lower table, and a couple of skinks surviving trough the entire season.

Team Shrek – Violence. Pretty much the antithesis of the Wood Elfs of last season. One of the 3 teams everyone will be scared of meeting. AG3 ogre is the wildcard which pushes them above the standard stunty team, but are heavily dependent on making those Bonehead rolls (perhaps more so than the Vampires with their Blood Lust)

The Sons of the Silver Sword – Elfs == Scoring, but in this bash heavy league they may struggle with a new coach. But getting a draw in the first game was a good result so can see them surprising a couple.

Percy’s Persistent Plan – Wild card with mush hilarity going on. No idea where they will end up, but again the league is pretty bash heavy, so would be surprised to see them climb the table too far. Wills till be fun getting there.

Have I missed anyone?

See.
My Nostradamus like ability to predict results remains undiminished :-)

Saur'd of Justice (1st)
Pinewood Carrions (4th)
Fables! (3rd)
Astrogranite Apocalypse (7th)
Cheesosophers (2nd)
Brewer's Brawlers (9th)
"The Plan" (8th)
Sons of the Silver Sword (6th)
Team Shrek (5th?!)

Quite pleased with this! I got the winner right and my top 5 bears a decent resemblance to the actual league.
