Fractured Space

It's in early access, but very fun, very playable. Still needs some polish, but a lot of work. It really reminds me a bit of Allegiance's "default" map (Forget the name) - You have your home, and the enemy's home. You have two zones to either side, with bases that you capture. Essentially, two outposts and three refineries. Capture both outposts and you can jump to the enemy's base. Capture their base to win the game. However, you take damage while capturing their home base. Additionally, there's a center zone, which has a base that periodically opens up to capture - whoever captures it gets a bonus.

There's currently a small number of ships to use - A small, healing Corvette, the Hunter which is a smaller damage dealer, and the big Flagship which is just a beast. Each has some variants you can get, as well

My current favorite is the Corvette. Because I enjoy healing people. Especially when they're almost dead. "NO! No dieing! Not right now!"

"Fractured Space is team-based space combat fought in gigantic capital ships. With the intensity of a shooter and the big-picture-thinking of a strategy game, Fractured Space is at the forefront of an exciting new frontier for the genre. "

Sure sounds like more than a bit of Allegiance.

The min specs are too high for me, until I get my new graphics card later this year.

Apparently it will be free-to-play when it finally launches. But it's pretty cheap to get into now.

That's an.... interesting concept.

I have downloaded & loaded it up but not played it yet. Hope to get on some point this weekend but as I have a busy weekend that might not happen.

It IS an interesting concept, but it sort of makes sense for a game that I've heard is going to be free to play.
