Edited the first post to keep track of who is in and who isn't. It's looking like quite a TV1000 league so far. I think Spinx is retiring the dwarves so maybe he'll be a new team too. This is making me lean towards having a new team as well. Bringing the old wood elves back wouldn't seem fair against this lot - for starters you'd all run out of time picking your inducements :p

Hi!

I'd definitely like to play in season 6! I'd like to be a team that wasn't in this season's league and isn't more elves... I don't think anyone's gone for Amazons yet?

Idwotsit has a bunch of bloody annoying Amazons, but I believe they are in semi retirement running a butlins style holiday camp in East Kilbride.

id3 has picked another team already, so you should be fine to go for Amazons. They are really good at low team values, but don't upgrade fantastically. I think we have covered all the races between us now since season 1, so the only option is to pick a race that has already been picked at some point.

I've decided on Nurgle, if Wyld doesn't want to pick them. However I don't have my heart set on them so Wyld has first dibs if he wants to bring Doctor Poo & friends back again.

First post updated with these latest developments on the upcoming season.

Bleurgh.

The stag's Lost to la's Vampires 4-0 (and it could very easily been 5-0 if 1 more dice roll went la's way) in a pre-season friendly.

Didn't look close to scoring once. My new thrower seems as useless as the old. and the Stag's luck seems to be still poor, I think whatever race I decide (and I may still go norse) the Stagocalypse are retired as they are clearly cursed.

notj, your season 6 team should be cursed since your season 5 team was so blessed!

Can someone ask temmop if he wants to come back?

Sorry nj :( I felt I got a bit lucky, whereas you were only not unlucky with casualties...

Club Twenty Seven had a very exciting friendly against The Cheeseosophers, beating them 2-1. C27 received and scored in turn 5, then held off the vampires for the remainder of the half.

The second half opened with a riot stunning every player on C27's left flank allowing the Vampires to run straight through after a spectacular pass by a Thrall. A couple of Pit Fighters made brave attempts to surf the Vampire ball receiver/carriers but didn't quite get the dice they needed. With the rest of C27 starting to pull themselves together, la had to score quickly or risk losing the ball.

C27 set up to push hard down the left flank, so la kicked the ball just over the line of scrimmage on the right, forcing C27 to very quickly rethink their plans and form another uncomfortable cage. Some unfortunate bloodlusts for the Vampires and lucky block dice for the Khorne meant they scored in just 3 turns.

The last two turns where undoubtedly the most exciting as la made a very nice run down my left flank. Despite a perfect kick to the opposite corner of the field (Bloodthirster's have the best kicking animation) la's AG4/Pass Thrall made an excellent long pass to give the Vampires a chance to score an equalizer in their final turn. More failed bloodlust dice, and a good frenzy by the Bloodthirster meant la's Vampire had to dodge twice, pick up in a tackle zone, dodge out and then pass to a thrall waiting in the endzone, but it all went wrong as he failed to dodge away with the ball.

C27 took advantage of the lose ball and succeeded in a pass to get Amy Whinehouse to level two. Shiny Demon (the Bloodthirster) made one last block, rolled a skull and died in the last action of the game.

Thankfully he regenerated.

The D6 where quite unkind to la, as he failed a much larger percentage of Bloodlust rolls than expected, and he also suffered from a couple of little quirks in Cyanide's Vampire rule system. The game was still close though, and had a few dice gone la's way it could very easily have been a victory for him.

The stat that stands out to me is 22/63 blocks. That's an incredibly low success rate, along with an incredibly high number of blocks!

And the vampires making 22 block attempts?! Such high numbers are unheard of!

He forced me into it! (the 22 blocks)

I've had two new bugs in two games with the vampires. Last game it wouldn't let me blitz one turn, and this game it rolled a pass to start a handoff, which went quite wrong. And I lost a vampire to bloodlust because apparently 3 seconds of hard clicking isn't enough to register which thrall I want to eat...

It was a good close game and a deserved victory for the khorne. Very heartstopping when the enormous bloodthirster bounced off the mighty Archimedes and died in the last roll of the game.

Frenzy forces me to double every block I make, so you could probably half that then add a few more to guess how many blocks I initiated. I'm not sure what a failed block is.

BB manager counts a successful block as when the opponent is left lying on the floor basically (not sure how it counts pushed off the field).
A failed block is therefore where your opponent's left standing, I guess.
