I'd probably be up for that...
So far we have 4 signed up - there's room for 1 more by my reckoning.

Ladies and Gentlemen-like-things!
We have details.
https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/ ... sp=sharing
That document shows the order which goes: La, Daigoro, Raveen, Id3, Nj, Nj, Id3, Raveen, Daigoro, La and so on.
It also shows the theme of each round. To help here's a definition of each player type.
Big Guy Big on brawn, not on brain. Some teams choose to take to the pitch with a barely sentient monstrosity.
Blitzer The undisputed stars of the Blood Bowl pitch, blitzers are fast, strong and awesome!
Blocker Solid, slow, hard. The Blocker is exactly what you need to dish out the damage.
Thrower The thrower is the quarterback of the team. Collecting the ball and delivering it to a waiting receiver.
Catcher The catcher's job is to run down the pitch and wait for the ball to come to them. Fast and squishy, the catcher is a key part of the passing game.
Lineman Linemen are the standard players on each team. Never spectacular but always there to make up the numbers.
Others Then there are the others. Renegades and cheats, some players don't fit into any other category.
Gentlemen, we are ready to begin with La to pick the first Big Guy.

Re: Forum Game - The Crush
RIghty ho - well. My brain says the Human Ogre is solid and the Khorne Bloodthing is supermean, and my heart leans towards the objective truth that David Bowie is best - but I will go with the Beast of Nurgle!
His job is just to sit there annoyingly and get smashed whilst being annoying, right? I think his Tentacles make him more useful out of the box than the Warpstone Troll, otherwise that would be my choice. Tentacles mean he's a pain to get away from, and I think he might also have Foul Appearance which means he is slightly harder to shift, and possibly Disturbing Presence which is really irritating. He also has easy access to Claw to scare armoured types - and once he gets Stand Firm he is super annoying.
(That said, if I could just get a Warpstone troll with Claw/Tentacles/Stand Firm I'd probably take that as it must be cheaper)

Re: Forum Game - The Crush
Right, the one thing I have decided is I like having all this choice taken away from me and sticking to 'shall I take one or not'.
Would I have one in a dream BB team if I wasn't forced to have one?
Anyway, I do have to have one, so I'm going to go Chaos Minotaur, mainly for the thought of flexibility, a big guy more geared to blitzing, or using the mutations to get tentacles, or even claw...
I'd have gone Warpstone Troll, but the really stupid & needing the babysit him put me off.

Crafty stuff Raveen, crafty indeed
Re: Forum Game - The Crush
Having managed both I would prefer a Treeman to an ogre, though it is a close run thing. Take Root lasts for longer but he still provides more utility than an Ogre who is Really Stupid, and ST6 is a rare and useful commodity.
Re: Forum Game - The Crush
Sorry to not reply faster, I've been living in a field in the lake district all weekend. For me, the only Big Guy I have any experience with (one game) but really enjoyed was the Khorne Daeomon's Bloodthirster:
I now have three games experience. In the second he got KO'd first block and didn't come back all game. In the third one he died (but regenerated). Hmmm.
Imagine for a moment a big guy as strong as a treeman, as fast as a kroxigor/rat ogre, with claws and probably mighty blow as well, with a nega-trait that works like bone-head (fails only 1-in-6) but DOESN'T cause them to lose their tackle zones, who doesn't cause a turnover on a both-down result, and who gets to make a second block if the first one failed to knock over it's hapless victim. Sounds pretty amazing, right? That's what the Bloodthirster is... when it's blitzing. When it's not blitzing, it's an extra resilient, extra expensive minotaur.

Re: Forum Game - The Crush
You took the Two big guys I was considering
Will take the Rat Ogre Then, Like a better Kroxigor (and Wild Animal is by far the best of the Nega-traits).
And for My Blitzer Pick I'll take a couple of Chaos Dwarf Bull Centaurs, as I'm pretty sure they fulfil the blitzer roll on the Chaos Dwarf team :-)
