Re: Forum Game - The Crush
Oh, and my catcher's a gutter runner, innit.
edit:
Not entirely sure about my thrower pick, but I'm not sure there is another one with Ma7?

Goddamit I've caved.
Give me a high elf catcher please.
I'm not proud of myself.
mysELF.
Ha.
Ahem.
Sorry.

Re: Forum Game - The Crush
Good choice though.
Re: Forum Game - The Crush
Dark Elf runner is Ma 7 I think. I don't think his skills are as good though.
Tomorrow I shall pick my catcher

Re: Forum Game - The Crush
He's expensive and fragile but the Pro Elf Catcher starts with Nerves of Steel which is utterly invaluable to a receiver.
I think I just blew my budget

Re: Forum Game - The Crush
Oh, that is a good choice. I should have probably thought about that. Are they ST2?
Re: Forum Game - The Crush
Rav has given himself a ST3 Catcher in the spread sheet, so probably not. Unless he bribed himself or something...
Re: Forum Game - The Crush
My spreadsheet is being derived from the Zen 7.0 spreadsheet on Graveyard Gothika so I'm broadly assuming all the stats are right. Do feel free to double check me though.
Even at St 2 I'd pick this catcher, NoS is just that good.

Re: Forum Game - The Crush
If you're using him as a catcher (or thrower?), yes.
Re: Forum Game - The Crush
If my wood elf catchers ever roll a double, they will be getting Nerves of Steel for sure (it's a passing skill).
I also intend on giving my Thrower - who already has sure hands - nerves of steel as well, so he can pick up marked balls and pass them out of there
I'm also assuming NoS works if receiving a hand-off? That counts as a catch doesn't it?

Nerves of Steel (Passing)
The player ignores modifiers for enemy tackle zones when he attempts to pass, catch or intercept.
So yes, it works on hand offs and passes (both require a catch roll). Not on pick ups though, you need Big Hand for that.
Re: Forum Game - The Crush
Yeah, have to make do with Sure Hands for picking it up, though of course +AG would be nice. The world needs more AG5 elves

Re: Forum Game - The Crush
This time I actually broke out the LRB, and while a saw some good options I think I have to go for the Amazon Catcher. Not too expensive, starts with catch out of the box and has access to General and Passing skills, for useful stuff like Block and Nerves of Steel. She's not speedy, but I have werewolves for that...

Re: Forum Game - The Crush
Passing skills? For the catcher? Having early ST3 dodge is good though.
