Hmm, I'm going to ask you to justify the Wight as a blocker. I'd call Mv 6 St 3 as a Blitzer myself.

Basically because all the good blockers are gone, and anyone else who is ST4 or ST5 is a big guy or a Black Orc Blocker. I didn't really want to stick a Black Orc on my team, given their current performance in our leagues, so I went with the Wight because, compared to the rest of my team they are not "awesome" - they are just dependable players who will stand around providing assists to the more awesome players.

Ok, I'll let you have it for at least arguing a case (I still think they're blitzers but you're right, on a Necro team they're mobile guards for the Wolves).

My pick... is the bank breaking Khemri Tomb Guardian.

My justification before you ask is that he's not a big guy because he doesn't have a nega-trait that stops him moving and you get 4 of them on a non-stunty team. He's a high strength blocker rather than a smart big guy. He's also criminally underrated although I suspect having only one of them will be a weakness.

I think your stretching the Rules here. If the Ogre team Ogre is a Big Guy - as you allege earlier. I suspect the Tomb Guardian is too. I think you are making up some nonsense about the "nega-trait" that stops you moving to cover it.

ST5 and above is pretty much the definition of Big Guy in my opinion, as arguably the Ogres are the Blitzers and Blockers on the Ogre team too - yet you yourself considered them a big guy earlier to reduce the nega-trait.

just because you didn't think of it :)

There are actually very few dedicated blockers in the game by my reckoning. This was the smallest category by far so I did get some questionable choices into it in order to get enough for everyone to get two picks. The TG was one of those (there's at least one more that hasn't been picked yet).

So you made me justify my choice for fun?

I think it was an excellent choice High Lord Commissioner, whatever you choose is always the best choice, I don't understand why these peasants would question you.

Enough boot licking yet boss?

Anyway, I'll have a Dwarf Blocker please oh all knowledgeable all wonderful Commissioner.

So I have to choose a Blocker. I'm tempted by the Norse Ulfwerwthingy, but I don't have the rules to hand so can't check or justify. So I might just plump for the Underworld Linerat if I have to. Blockers are just meant to stand in the way, right?

Thrower... Will be the dark elf runner. Closest dark elves have to one.

The Ogres have a 1/6 nega-trait whereas the Tomb Guardians don't... so I would probably agree with Rav here, TG = blocker.

Personally I think the iffy play was way back in choosing an Ogre team Ogre as your Big Guy. My definition of a Big Guy would be ST5+ and you can only have one of them in your team.

Its ok Gandalf, I reckon everything is about to descend into farce from this point forward! Time to remind my wonderful commissioner of all those lovely things I said about his wise ways...

Oh. Just realised its bloody hard work looking at spfeadsheets on my phone. I'll get on a proper computer and make my silly next pick...

Possibly Gandalf, but nobody called me on it :)

You could argue that decay is the TGs nega-trait. You'd be wrong but you could argue it :)

Righto; let's see who pipes up about it first...

But I would like to pick the Dark Elf Renegade as my thrower please oh wonderful overlord of all wonderfullness.

My justification is his access to mutations; and I would build my renegade into the role of a thrower via these skill tree options.

There are no mutations in the LRB6 that directly affect the ability to pass. Pick-up, catch and intercept - but no Pass unless you roll a double.

Look here you youth, not all 'throwers' ever really chuck the ball, i.e. the Dwarf Runner.

I pick this player to forfill this role in my team.

I think this pick is a lot closer to the 'player role' that a Wight as a blocker Sunny Jim...
