I have both games, but no expansions.

I am very cheap and therefore would find it difficult to shell out for them... but if I get chance to give the single player another go and I can get the hang of it I may be swayed...

Dunno. For Dawn of War 2, I only had to put in the code off the CD box and it was registered in Steam (same for Blood Bowl and Bioshock Infinite for that matter) Which is a good thing, as the DVD drive on my PC is pretty knackered.

It accepts Dow CD Retail keys in this format Dawn of War Keys in this format: BCD-1EFG-HIJK-2LMN apparently

The first one is vastly more fun in my opinion and if you get all the expansions you can play as any race in 40k

Given it's catch-up week perhaps we can try for a game on Sunday?

It turns out I had a different 40k game.

Now I have the Master Collection too.

haha.

Squats. Blimey I remember them>

Tau was a robot race wasn't it. I dimly remembering them being new, as about the last time I actually played 40k on a table top...

lol.

I played 2nd Edition 40k and Squats had been almost entirely excised from history by that point already :-)

I enjoyed playing Orks due to the variety of the units, and the potential for comedy.
Bored me when they created about a 1000 different Codexes for different versions of the Human/Space Marine army, felt like they got the vast majority of the designer love and storyline interest.

Never played any of the later editions though.

Anyone ever play Necromunda? I loved that game.....

I played 2nd Ed epic which still had Squats hanging on although I never had them. My favourite game apart from bb was Space Hulk despite it being so derivative of Alien.
