We had fun (I did at least). Daigaro got thrown in the deep end of a 3 v 3 with out playing a tutorial.

Does anyone know how you unlock all the races in multiplayer? I opened all the games and that let me get Tau, but Imperial Guard were still greyed out.

It was quite enjoyable, yes - and I also couldn't get the Imperial Guard, which is what I wanted to play as most. Hmm.

Me and ID and Daigaro played a couple of games vs the AI.

One of the games I got murdered after 5 minutes by an invincible hoard of Necron. They suck.

The other game the Orcs just let us build up a huge force of space marines and then walk into their base and destroy everything.

It would be good to find the right balance of Arg and Easy.

La almost got the battle report right - yes the orks let us build stuff but by the time I'd figured out how to get a big tank and stopped everyone from running all over the shop we were ready to march and then La and ID had killed everything.

I imagine I would probably enjoy it more just watching - the best part for me we frantically making scouts to see them get sliced to pieces by them Necron things. There was a lot of blood.

It would have been handy if me and ID had just been in the front lines and you had made lots of scouts and sent them ahead.

The bloody Necrons smacked my space marines all over the screen. It was upsetting.

I was quite happy to sit back and pound anything that came into range with my Tau whilst we investigated the other units, but somebody got carried away with their Space Marines and annihilated all three enemy teams. I got one salvo off with my Sky Ray and then it was game over.

Here's the zoom mod, I highly recommend it... -> http://forums.relicnews.com/showthread. ... a-zoom-mod

I would've said +1 about the "you need to install everything to play the different races" but it let me play Eldar yesterday when all I had installed was Soulstorm, which was a bit surprising. Maybe it lets you play races from the main game without having the main game installed.

Maybe everyone needs to have the requisite expansions installed to play that race? For Imperial Guard, Winter Assault is the expansion in question.

I may be around tonight or Thursday to play. It'll be 8pm or later.

Moose - I need to add you on Steam.... or you can add me, I'm WelshGandalf.

Necron probably have the best starting troops in the game. They are just very slow... Not surprised you got mashed by them. From experience, the AI is a mix of good rushes vs do-nothings. The good thing about playing multiples of them is that at least one of them is going to turn out reasonably competant. I think they are also better playing the more straightforward races (eg Space marines).

I think 6 people free for all with 'loose' 3v3 but really it's winner takes all so you can turn on your allies, etc would be hilarious.

But not until I figure out how to play the bloody thing.

Does the Zoom mod allow you to zoom out? it was shit not being able to zoom out enough to select all my troops at once to put them all in one group. Plus I coldnt see anything; the HUD covers 2/3 of the screen which makes it bad enough to see anything anyway.

Is there a mod for that?
