Season 6 Prediction Thread of Foretelling

Right, time to get in predictions first for once :-D

Zons - Orcs: Well, having backed myself and been repeatedly wrong so far, its time to change strategy and... back myself - but actually win this time. Hopefully the Zons will finally get going. 2-1 Amazons?

Lizards - Khorne: 2-2?

Nurgle - Skaven: Hmmm, tricky to guess. The Nurgle have the big chap with tentacles, but he isn't going to be up against the Gutter Runners much. The Nurgle should be able to cage up and slowly march to the endzone, I think, while the rats should be able to score quickly... so 2-1 rats?

Humans (thankfully) have a few weeks to gather themselves and hold a few funerals.

Percy has run out of Wake 'Shrooms. Jeez.

It's like Percy said all along though, it's the nasty, horrible, plain mean CheesePonger-Human-killer's League to lose.

Percy sees a wonderfully open mad scramble for 2nd place though.

As for this week;

Orcs & 'Zons to draw 1-1; Khorne to beat the Lizards 2-1, Nurgle & Skaven 1-1.

Orc vs Zons to not be a draw - in other words, notjarvis' circa 20-match run without a draw is to continue. I will pick the amazons to win, I think they have been on the bad side of luck too often this season so I want them to win.

Lizards - Khorne - The Lizardmen don't really have the strength advantage here, I think id's experience will tell and they will win.

Nurgle - Skaven - I'm still learning Nurgle, I start every game with some vague ideas of what to do but not really sure how it will work out. Equally the Skaven are playing a new type of opponent. Despite my lack of the tackle skill, my warriors still have the skills to disrupt the Skaven. My results have surprised myself so far, so although my head says draw I'll overrule it and say I'll win :p If I was a neutral I think I would want myself to win too, to keep the top of the table vaguely interesting.

Amazons vs Orcs - I'm going to call 2-1 to the Orcs. Whilst the dodge is nice I see the strength deficit allowing the orcs to hold to ball and perform a 2-1 grind.

Lizards vs Big Winged Bastard - This comes down to the numbers game. If that big fucker can take out Saurussesses in the first few turns then everything's pechy for the Khorne, If not then the St 4 frenzy traps come into play and the Khorne run out of manoeuvring room. 2-1 to the Khorne.

Nurgle vs Skaven - 2-0 to the Skaven I think due to speed and agility. The beast will be made irrelevant by being given a linerat to play with and the gutter runners will get to do what they do.

Week 5

The worst week for predictions ever - 3 people scored 1 and 3 scored nil. Well done Percy (orc-amazon draw), notj and Gandalf (nurgle win) for getting something right.

I'll kick us off then. Let's see the winless teams get a win!

Skaven - Orcs... The Orcs star in their second cripple fight of the year! The orcs are not too dissimilar in terms of stat lines to the Nurgles that Skaven met last week, and honestly I thought abom was unlucky to lose that, so I will go for a Skaven win. Just so long as he doesn't roll a double 1 at unfortunate moment again.
Amazons - Khorne... I keep predicting Amazons to win and they lose, so in an effort to give them a chance of winning I will go for a Khorne win. Go amazons!
Nurgle - Chaos Dwarves... I feel the same about this game as did my match last week... my head says a draw but I will predict a win for the Nurgle boys, since somehow I keep winning games at the moment. I'm sure it will end soon. I think a lot will depend on the bull centaurs. I'm not overly worried about the dwarves, as I have some Block and no Dodge, but it'll be hard to get them off the pitch.

The Red Lion - poking his nose out cautiously from the cupboard in which he is hiding in case there are snipers - whispers the following:

Skaven - Orcs The Black Orcs were really unlucky last week. Again. Surely this can't continue? However, even if they bash well, the Skaven are a nuisance... 3-1 Skaven.

Nurgle - Chaos Dwarves I'm guessing this will be pretty evenly matched. 2-2? Maybe that's too high-scoring. 1-1.

Amazons - Khorne No idea how this will turn out really; ...... 2-1 Zons!

Yup Yup, Percy has been on his holibobs this week (He's many things, but not a dentist, so you're safe Red Lion) so he's not had much time to analyse anything.

However, Percy says - Nuffle favors the Orcs (because his distant cousin plays for them), the Club 27 coach gets all blurry eyed seeing Zons on the pitch again and forgets to do his turns (Zons to win) and then Percy wants the last match abandoned with no points handed out to either competitor (he has a soft spot for the 'umans this season, don't know why...) but if a result HAS to happen he reckons a draw.

Percy might see y'all later, as might I.

Week 6

Last week's total of 3 correct predictions was bettered this week as 5 predictions were right! Clearly notj's unending doom & gloom about his own team infected all us humans, as only Percy correctly predicted the Orcs would win.

Standings

notj and RL3 lose ground, Percy jumps to joint second with his two and everyone else picks up a point. Raveen goes clear at the top.
