Season 6 Prediction Thread of Foretelling

They do have an effect, but I should have caused more injuries than I have done, all things equal.

I only got Mighty Blow in there for my last match, but it didn't help much (No injuries versus squishy Humans! Bah!)

Don't complain too much about your lack of injuries - as you said your knockdown rate is higher than it should be. :p

id3 is pretty high up there due to his mighty blow/juggernuaghting Shiny Demon.

Given my success this season you would expect me near the top of the bashing/injury charts... but I'm just not there. I find it hard to explain the success I've been having.

Penultimate week results

Last weekend saw an Orc-Human draw, a Chaos Dwarves - Khorne draw and a Skaven win. 3 people got 2 results right and 3 people got no results right. However, the three who got nothing right were the chasing pack of notjarvis, Percy & myself, so barring some complete fluke, the title will be heading to around three foot from the floor into the hands of the Chaos Dwarves & their coach, Raveen.

Percy has quickly thrown a rizla at me with his predictions on. He said he was going to write the final predictions up himself, but now says he hasn't got time because he's 'finding his boots out', whatever that means.

Nurgle - Amazon The Amazon's have had a less than kind season, and the Nurglits have had a more than kind season. Percy see's no reason that this won't continue and expects the poor ladies to suffer yet again. Nurgle win.

Lizards - Orcs Hohoho, you're not fooling Percy here, he's seen how you've tried to throw him off the prediction scent by posting the wrong team here, but he's seen through the ruse and has been looking forward to this one; Nuffle's favourite Vs Nuffle's Plaything. Percy reckon's NJ's got it together now, and even though Gojira's debut season has been improving (until last week...) NJ will probably get the result he needs here to clinch third place in the league. ELO win.

Black Stars - Rock Knockers Mining choorfs Vs Convict Miners, guess it's a grudge match of sorts; hard to call how the probably-only-one-half-gets-played match will go yet seen as the chorfs will have a fair bit of levelling up to do before the match. However, the convicts need to finish the league season with a flourish if they want third spot in the league; and after stopping the losing rot last week need to build. Human win.

Vampires - Skaven Again it'll depend on the state of La's team to REALLY call this one, and Percy knows how much (misplaced) respect Aristotle has for rats... but if we go on experience and TV you'd be stupid not to back the Vampires for this one. Skaven win it is then.

Wow, I don't know how to call any of these games. Best guesses:

Nurgle - Amazon 1-1 Nurgle have done better this season - but the Amazons rode their luck fairly well in the two pre-season friendlies, so they stand a chance.

Lizards - Orcs 2-2

Humans - Chaos Dwarves 1-1

Vampires - Skaven 2-1

Nurgle - Amazon 1-1 - Could be a bit slow and stodgy, Nurgle have no Tackle which should help Amazon a bit compared to the casualties my thralls just suffered.

Lizards - Orcs 2-2 - Seems like a good prediction so I'm copying it. Both teams can score and it should be reasonably open and violent.

Humans - Chaos Dwarves 1-1 - As above, I reckon. Both teams have options.

Vampires - Skaven 2-1 - The lads are on a bit of a morale high at the moment, so I'm going to copy the prediction for this one too.

If these come true then it will be down to TD difference to decide third place. Currently you are tied on that count. Tense stuff in the race for the bronze medal...

The Blessed Commissioner Raveen shall now proclaim the results for the grubby commoners to enjoy.

Nurgle vs Amazon - For my money this has to be a poor match for the Amazons, although it could be interestingly unbloody as both teams have self defence skills. I just think that the Nurgle disturbing presence is going to mes more with the Amazon game than mass dodge is going to upset the rotters. 2-0 to the Nurglers.

Lizards vs Orcs - Two young teams with similar strengths. I have to call on the more experienced coach to win this one. 2-1 to the Orcs

Humans vs Chaos Dwarves - Hard to call this one. That Ogre is stunning (a far better Big Guy than Percy ever was - controversial but true) but hopefully the lower strength of the rest of the team will allow my Dorfs to win the blocking war. 1-0 to the Chorfs

Vampires vs Skaven - All things being even this would be a close call. As it is I'm again going with experience. 2-1 to the Vamps.

I think there is a cup schedule but I'm remembering it from last night.

Humans - Amazons
This could go to extra time. The Humans were second top scorers in the league, but the Amazons are full of blodge and have some Guard and ST4, and the Humans are short of Tackle so it could get right stodgy. I’d lean towards a Human victory though.

Khornes - Lizards
I can’t remember what the league result for this match up was, but I think the Khornes can outbash the lizards, so it’ll probably come down to whether the incredible skink dodging works out or not. I think the Khorne are short of Tackle? I’d suggest Khornes to win.

Skaven - Chaos Dwarves
I suspect the beardy gits will pick themselves up from their close defeat last match to smash the skaven to bits – although if the bull centaurs are kept under close supervision the skaven could still score quite hard. Chaos Dwarves to win.

Vampires - Orcs
I wouldn’t be surprised at a repeat of my last cup outing with the lads, which ended in a pile of (their) blood and limbs and an early exit. Thanks Rav! See NJ, two can play at this game 4-0 to the Orcs.

Didn't I just? I don't feel I really got the hang of the Dorfs this season, maybe I'd have benefited from a Mino earlier on as I found St 4 so very hard to deal with. Life got a bit easier with a couple of Guards on the team so I have moderately high expectations for the cup.
