6th September - friendlies plus Season 6 league end
On the 6th September, there are two league games, that will decide positioning and cup qualification/seedings.
CDwarves - Vampires
Lizards - Orcs
(Cup will kick off 13th September)
The outgoing commissioner has confirmed other teams may play friendlies here - but that they should not be Season 6 teams.
I would therefore like to put my ogres from last season (Team Shrek) forwards if anyone would like to dance past the blundering dunderheads.

I'll be about for a game; but Percy won't get in the way of any Ogre on Ogre action.
Re: 6th September - friendlies plus Season 6 league end
Am I completely missing something? id mentioned ogre on ogre action as if I had inferred there would be some but I can't see any mention of that.
Which team are you/Percy bringing for the weekend?

Re: 6th September - friendlies plus Season 6 league end
Abom posted in the other thread he fancied rolling up an Ogre team to try out...
Re: 6th September - friendlies plus Season 6 league end
It all makes sense now I look properly...
Is that a confirmed Ogre - Ogre match then, or would we be better off changing the lineups? Depends who else turns up? If we have 2 experienced teams and two TV1000 teams there, it might be best for them to play each other.
Also I've invited my friend (who I am continually pestering about this) to come along on Sunday.

Percy is currently making phone calls to see who's available for a game this Sunday.
Ultimately it'll come down to if PirlOrc feels the need to play, or if Sulphur Tuft has the chainsaw fixed yet.

I might be tempted for a friendly with the Fables, but probably won't be playing them next season.

OOh I reckon Percy could convince PirlOrc to play a game against such illustrious opponents as the Feebles.
Would have to do a tour of the park benches and job centres to find the rest of them mind, I think Leroy was working the door at one of the Brewer's Brawlers bars.

The other teams I was thinking of playing were the Pro Elves or the Gobbos. Most likely gobbos.
Goblins are my fav team in the game, however their progression feels extremely boring because they can only skill Agi, primarily. That said, I've got an idea for a gimmick gobbo team. I have a cunning plan, m'lord!

Re: 6th September - friendlies plus Season 6 league end
Daigaro had a goblin team last season. They were amusing for sure but I think he found them frustrating. Frustration & failure are regular occurrences with goblins, ogres and Halflings (the 3 worst teams in the game). However there's also a high incidence of hilarity and when things do actually work it's all the more satisfying.
Ogres only get strength upgrades and the snotlings only get agility, so there's not much variety there either. Also, snotlings die quickly, or at least they should do. One of my snotlings is missing his first ever game since the dawn of the team, after 20 straight appearances, 5 injuries and 9 KO's !!!! He & his buddy are statistical freaks (actually they are just all-round freaks tbh).
Anyhow, I'll be happy to play whichever team you want to play with, since it seems there's a Necromantic - Orc game going down.

Percy got the band back together, and in true sequel style all the important people got to do fun stuff...

Leroy, Mandela and Percy himself all levelled up, which is far too annoying as now Percy is nagging me about coming out of retirement to play a season proper...
Argh.
Good fun game, ta ID

Re: 6th September - friendlies plus Season 6 league end
My Ogres play Abom's Goblins in a 1-1 draw, abandoned due to network issues with 4 turns left, just after kickoff.
This game reaffirmed my belief that Ogres-Goblins are the most hilarious matchup in the game. We had...
- bombers blowing themselves up
- a throwing match with another bomb
- a snotling injuring himself whilst being thrown
- a last-second ball-freeing blitz by an ogre failing as he rolled skull, defender down defender down but just ran out of time and the game picked skull...
- an attempted thrown goblin failing due to mis-clicking and turning into a hand-off instead (which amusingly the troll caught)
- Ogres scoring with a successful throw/catch
- A wizard lightening bolt failed (hey, at least the 3 bribes worked)
- Way too many snotling armour passes to be believable
- a chainsaw guy who couldn't break armour on an ogre
- fanatic floored by a 2D block (I can't help but try and get 2D blocks on those guys, just because I can)
- other stupid/funny stuff I'm sure
A shame it died. I was looking forwards to trying to score in 4 turns against 4 goblins, 3 trolls and morg.
