Season 6 Prediction Thread of Foretelling

If no-one has any objections I will make the prediction table a combination of league & cup. I'll get an up-to-date table together in the next 2-3 days.

Remember folks not to predict draws for the cup games - every game must have a winner. For those who are unaware/forgotten, the way overtime is implemented is...
- if the game is a draw after 16 turns each, each player is given 4 more turns.
- unlike most real life sports, there is no break after 16 turns - you just carry on.
- so, in the case of Raveen last week who was well-placed to score in turn 17, he could've scored in turn 17 :-)
- if after 20 turns it is still a draw, another 4 turns is added on and so on until there is a winner.
- There is no "golden goal" - so team A could score in turn 17 and team B score in turn 20 and then you'd have another 4 turns.

Ah yes, Percy remembers the Ducklingz' playing some poncy pointy ears in a cup game that went to turn 30.

That was wonderful. Until the elves won.

But gosh, predictions. For the games and an eventual winner?

Obviously the cup is there for the Vampires to lose, but if the lads can beat the ladies, then win the next few games Percy reckons they'll be in with a chance

13th Doomwheel vs Azorgh Rock-Knockers - I'm confident about this match. The matchup suits me and the team is starting to come together. 2-0 to the Dorfs.

Cheeseosophers vs E.L.O. - The Children of Nuffle are drawn against each other... It's Vampires all the way to the bank. 2-0 to the Pongers.

Isa Black Stars vs Brave Harts - Tricky but I like the skill of that Ogre to carry the day. 2-1 to the Hoomins.

Gojira's Army vs Club 27 - The strength of the Lizards may cause trouble for the Deamons but all in all I think the S Club 7 have a good enough lineup to cope with them. 2-1 to S Club 7

At least being bottom after the league doesn't invalidate me from taking part in cup predictions

Well… Semi-final day.

I imagine that this time the massed tackle will see off the dodging skink antics and the guard will see off the saurus. Dwarves to win.

I’d think that the Orc armour and Amazon dodge will even itself out, bashwise, so I’m going to go for the more experienced coach. Orcs to win.

Amazons-Orcs: Not a terrible match up for the Amazons. In the league the black orcs let the side down... assuming they turn up on Sunday, I think its hard to call. Amazons to do their best and hopefully win!

Chorfs-Lizards: The chorfs seem to have a fairly good route to the final in this cup, what with playing against dodgy rather than bashy teams. Chorfs to win - and should the Amazons get through, Rav will have got to play all his favourite dodgy opponents in the same competition. Hats off to the commissioner for somehow arranging the final league positions with such administrative genius...

Well, the Lizards gave me a hiding in the league and they have 6 (5 playing) St 4 players so they're perfectly capable of running a bash game. I'm hoping that my Minotaur and guard spam will turn things around this time and allow me to shut down the Lizard bash game. 2-0 to the Dorfs.

In the other game I'll call it for the Orcs. They seem to have the momentum after beating the favourites in the opening round and nj handles them well. I see the St deficit of the Amazons being their downfall this time out. 2-1 to the Orcs.

Amazons Orcs - Depends on NJ's inducements and how much Tackle he gets out. More overtime and the Orcs to win the battle of attrition.

Lizards Vs Team-with-dubiously-easy-draw-in-the-cup - The experience and team choice leads itself to the High Lord Commissioner... but the lizards did win in the league... Gotta still say Chorfs though, more skills and I think Moose used up all his nuffle points in the last game they played.

IF I'm right it means we'll get a rivettingly high scoring final, no way of THAT being a stodgefest...

Dunno, My inducements are dependent on what I do before the match as I got 10 players again. I'm off to PERVon the Amazons and decide what to do....

With a Chaos Dwarfs vs Amazons Final I'm going to call it for the Dorfs. That matchup is just too uphill for the Amazons IMO.
