So that's what I tell Wilfried. Hopefully he can give us some useful info. Also, is it possible to use him as a source of water or even hallucinogenic drink?[/quote]
Sure.. if you can kill a fully armed and armored walking cactus, I don't see why you shouldn't feast on his sweet narcotic nourish-liquid.

Re: 3 Months Later.. (Wizards)
Perhaps the cactus wants to share without us killing it.

She points at a vague direction, deeper into the desert, lined with old ruins of a lost civilization. It looks close enough, but being in a desert, everything looks close enough.

Shall we move on now guys?
As I remember it we could stay with the caravan or leave it and go our own way.
The meagre haul from the caravan and lack of Alcohol has made Uther a little stir crazy, and he suggests we head to the old ruins the crone pointed at...

Re: 3 Months Later.. (Wizards)
I was wondering if he was friendly enough to let me tap him, like the Mongols used to drink the blood of their horses when they needed to. Not enough to harm the horse, but enough to boost or sustain a human.
And I agree withUther for once, the only sensible way forwards is to find the ruins. Let's make sure we have plenty of provisions first though. Do we have any food and water and do we have any money?

Re: 3 Months Later.. (Wizards)
pshaw
If Provisions are short Uther Continues with Voice of Command
"My servants are being particularly useless this week and have failed to prepare for our important expedition.
My kingdom shall reward you and your men greatly if you would help us with some provisions before we start on our expedition to the desert......"

Re: 3 Months Later.. (Wizards)
Friends, as stated by the mysterious Drakon, we have plenty of supplies for our stay in the desert. Lets move out immediately.
Re: 3 Months Later.. (Wizards)
-Ivanhoe will not let anyone tap him for sustenance unless under very grave peril.
-You have enough for 6 days worth of provisions. Lingering in the desert more than that will mean bad things.

Re: 3 Months Later.. (Wizards)
The party decides for the ruins... but not after tearing Uther away from some rich merchant princes.. Captain Follo reluctantly allows you to leave, and gets the caravan moving. Soon enough, it is out of sight.
The going is slow, and you stomp through the desert in Ivanhoe's mighty shade, taking care not to stand too close as his plate armor radiated the heat twofold. It was a tedious journey fully of dry arid fields of nothing but sand.
Fenlander may raise up to 5 cactus warriors per day. Tell me how you want to run with this. Since these trees with swords are at level 4, they have their own free will and will come and go as they please. Of course, the more you use, the less M you will have for the day. You have already raised up 1 cactus warrior.
Night falls, and you are forced to consider making camp, when you see a green-cloaked someone run across the horizon as if the hounds of hell was upon him. He gets closer and closer until he apparently passes out from exhaustion.
You move forward and find that it is an... well, it has pointy ears... but Elves were supposed to be defeated in the great Mage War, where the denizens of this plane of existence banished the extra-dimensional beings that invaded.
It has a staff too, so an elf wizard then?
-Kill him
-Leave him, you have to press on.
-Make camp around him and take care of him until he comes to. (Or tie him up as a prisoner)
-Ignore him and continue looking for a suitable place to camp for the night. It's might cold..

Re: 3 Months Later.. (Wizards)
Make camp and help him?
Re: 3 Months Later.. (Wizards)
Yes, I would agree with Ru'ud, make camp and help him, but maybe also disarm him.
Re: 3 Months Later.. (Wizards)
I'll raise 3 more Cacti to place us at a greater advantage if Elfy boy turns out ot be a psycho (unless I know something about elves that would render that pointless).
