Sylvos does a back-flip. Or more accurately, the elf was tossed up into the air by something. It would have ended very badly for him had Ivanhoe not managed to interrupt Sylvos' rapidly declining relationship with the floor. Sylvos will need to pluck some thorns out of his skin, but he'll be alright.
Sylvos tells you that he felt a presence literally flip him off his feet with great force. The door seems to be enchanted somehow.

If so Uther attempts to wheedle into the Portal;s mind, planting the Genius! idea that the best thing to do (for all concerned) is for it to quietly open, and we shall all pretend this never happened.

It seemed to have bypassed your shield entirely. Uther cast his senses out to find no mind to bewitch. It thus fell to Fenlander to begin communing with the spirits once again. This time the Spirit of the Winds replies.
An enchantment lies on this door, Fenlander - and it prevents intruders from touching it. It requires a password that not even I can be compelled to divulge. I will give you a clue: be nice.
