The new Amazon takes Morg, a bribe and a couple of babes. The weather is good.

Nurgle win the toss and elect to kick off. Morg starts off as he means to go on by rolling pushes. Then a blitzer kills a rotter I put on the front line! I'm feeling rather pleased with myself here as I was torn between putting a skill-less rotter or one with wrestle on the front line, and I chose the latter. Anyhow, amazon collect the ball in the backfield and the sign-based Nurgleites start bashing dodgy amazons around. As they have a lot of block, the dodgyness of the amazons isn't a huge barrier. So long as I wasn't targeting blitzers. I clog up one side so the amazons move to the other, where the Beast is. They get round the side but I have a chance to close the ball carrier down. However I make an error and decide to hit someone with the beat first, who rolls unfavourable dice and ends my turn early. Looks like an easy run-in for the Amazons which they do so in turn 6 as I was starting to get a few players towards the ball carrier.

So! 2 turns for a slow team to score before the half is out. With 8 people on the line of scrimmage, the kick-off lands right in the arms of my fastest player. I bash/blitz some gaps and he's through, with my second fastest player right behind him. The ball carrier gets knocked over meaning my only chance is a pickup and 2xGFI to score with the ball in some tackle zones. I manage to hit an amazon into the ball which fortuitously bounces loose making the pickup easier, and with 3 seconds left of the half my MV6 pestigor pulls off the 3x2+ rolls to score. 1-1 half time.

Second half I take it nice and slow and beat the living daylights out of amazons. I KO quite a few but injuries elude me. Meanwhile my fastest player (who got a +MV) gets killed by the amazons!!! rude. Then...
Turn 16, I have one space to move to score, but instead I hit people. Because, y'know, I have block and they are 2 dice blocks, so it's a 1 in 1,296 chance to result in a turnover (quadruple skull) since I have a reroll and I'm annoyed my team have inflicted a total of 1 injury all game. First block results in a KO. Second block results in a quadruple skull.

Idan was very nice about it. Ultimately I was fortunate to be 1-1 at half term anyway. Idanmel made less mistakes, and it was mainly the higher value/skills of my team that were going to carry me to victory, aided by Morg having a sub-standard game.

Neither of us could really complain about the dice, apart from my turn 16. I would totally do what I did that turn again though, unless the stakes were even higher, eg score to win the league/cup.

Thanks. Idan shared his condolences too. But such is life. And death. Unfortunately I couldn't bring Everglade's apothecary to this team, some lame excuse about it being a bit smelly.

No Stable Isotopes start their professional Blood Bowl career as they mean to go on: with a pitch clearance!

I don't think I'll be able to do this game justice with a write up, but I'll try and give some highlights. I definitely recommend sitting down and watching the replay though!

The game starts with the Isotopes receiving the ball. Abom kicks the ball deep, so dubnium the Warpstone Troll opens the match with a two-die block against Pudge, KO's himself and causes a turnover. The goblins flood my half, and I get to watch as some of the Isotopes best players get brutally punched, chainsawed and ball-and-chained in the face. neptunium get stunned twice in one turn! radon runs off to pick up the ball, but fumbles it into his own end zone! Abom sets about really bashing my team up and then runs some players down the pitch to start getting tackle zones on the ball. He decides it's still not enough so goblins start flying too. I'm starting to get really worried now, as I'm already losing players and have even more being swept around the pitch on their backs by Old Ball and Chain. Some how I manage clear the ball of tackle zones though, pick it up and lob it towards the line of scrimmage. The catch fails, but at least now the goblins have to run back up the pitch.

The ball is on the floor next to Skeleton King, who decides to blitz the poor rat who failed the catch. The rat gets KO'd but I think Abom fails a pickup. Out of nowhere, a lighting bolt strikes Puge, the other Troll, and he has to lie down for the rest of the match. What followed was a hasty flurry of dice rolls as the ball traded hands a couple of times. Eventually I think a Storm Vermin escapes with the ball by the skin of his teeth and is chased up the pitch by a gaggle of goblins and a troll. Abom really put the pressure on and it looks like I might get away with it until the storm vermin fails a dodge and the ball goes free again. Lifestealer (the Fanatic) tries to slice the only Isotopes goblin in range of the ball but rolls a one and off he goes! protactinium the goblin picks up the ball, dodge! Go-for-it! TOUCHDOWN!

(Right, I've got to go to bed now, the rest will follow tomorrow).

Looks like goblin carnage on an unprecedented scale! I look forward to the rest of the match report. All hail No Stable Isotapes, the current league leaders!

Things I noticed from BBDB...
- 11 attempted pickups!
- 37 attempted Go For It's!
- Abom only ran out of time 3 times! (Probably because 7 times it ended due to a player being knocked down)
- I think I'm reading this right, the chainsaw guy survived the chainsaw going off in his hands multiple times (something like a 5+ on 2D6 to injure himself from memory?)
- Overall high 2D6 from both of you helping to aid in the massive slaughterfest!
- 3 level-ups for the Goblins, including a troll (woo) and a fanatic (what on earth do you give him?!). One for underworld.

It was carnage. My own injury boxes were only marginally less full! The ball went back and forth a lot!

Oh... can I have final approval to change the league to choose TD diff + (0.5* casualty diff) as the tie-breaker if teams are equal on points please?

Who do you need approval from, I thought it was generally accepted as a good idea and morally correct?

Yeah...

and the old discussion was insufferably waffly and off-topic for someone who works from to-do lists... someone was talking about what was or wasn't the rule beforehand and disputing what seemed to be irrelevant things...
and there were various fictional/non-fictional complaints...

So id, just say "yes do it" and I'll do it & ignore all the previous stuff.
