Holycrap! The full auto recoil is so massive, and because everybody has a force field I have felt it's really hard to get any kills in PS2 with a non-infiltrator.
I have only now realised that I can take super accurate single shots with the crummy default gun by popping off 2 - 3 shots / second. At medium ranges there is no noticable bullet drop, and I I can get kills easier at 100+ meter range than I can in the point blank full auto brawl (I tend to lose those panicky fights).
Amazing... maybe I'll learn this game yet!
Single shots!
Re: Single shots!
haha that's basic FPS stuff adept!!

Re: Single shots!
Not quite to this level. The recoil is so massively huge I hadn't realised the gun isn't actually useless at range (it only seems to be).

Re: Single shots!
Yep, you are right with that. The recoil is massive And the differences between the guns of the different classes is bigger than it seems. Up from a distance of 30m you should go for single shots with most NK guns.
Some other things everyone should know about that guns:
-Using the zoom/aiming help also reduces recoil and highers accuracy dramatically. Most weapons cant be used properly over 10m without richt-clicking.
-The Forward extra-handle for die guns really reduces recoil.
-The Silencer makes people not see you on minimap if you shoot em. Otherwise they do.
-Use Q! Always mark enemys. Its so damn helpful...

Re: Single shots!
Fazz, which silencer do you go for? The one that just reduces flash, or the one that makes you near undetectable, but reduces damage as well?

Re: Single shots!
im using only the silencer, not the suppressor. The one that doesnt effect the weapon in another way. But Extras differ a bit from weapon to weapon ...
